I am assuming a long term career interest in the field. None of these schools is a truly big name apart from Cranfield's program, which is quite well regarded. Why not try the GMAT/GRE again and try some of the biggest in the field - MIT's MLOG / ZLOG Program, Georgia Tech's ISYE school and Cranfield?

With more than 8 0pages to go through, It will be nice if someone answers my qs.

1. I have a cgpa of 6.97 in my b.tech.... now when I convert it to 4 scale, it is below 2 or rahter exactly 2... do the univ. ppl also do the same kinda scaling.... btw I am from VIT vellore
2. roughly speaking, say I go based upon the FT ranks, what is the range that I can traget?????? (qrong qs at the wrong place, but still I always wanted to get an answer for this )

FYI... my other things are:
working in Supply chain mgmt company for 1 yr and 3 yrs in TCS (client was again a SCM based) (but still I work as a s/w person )
have 1 patent (not on my name, but on my group's name).
have published a paper in chemical int. journal.
have participated in international chess tournament in malaysia.

these are the things that click to me when someone asks me about my achievements.

NOTE1: I am going to write GMAT on 24th Aug.
NOTE2: my gmat score varies from 650 - 700. (mocks)....

SHOCK1: Man.. US colleges are asking around 30+laakhs... ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! (the returns are equally gud )

Joined SO CALLED GIANT SOFTWARE COMPANY... exp : 3 years 7 months........ skill tester --> insurance domain

An year ago, I started to have liking to this domain
may be bcs that was the time when my manager allowed me to interact with clients, business analysts etc..

So I went in for LOMA FLMI certification...... completed Level 1 of it and level 2 ll start soon...... I plan to complete ALMI designation by the first half of this year.........

Like others I wrote CAT for ****ing 3 years continually but kuch huva nahi....... grrrr but the liking was there.... so, this jan end I sat alone in a pub and wrote all my future plans.... (yes, ALL)..... that contained... to Join MBA for Sep 2012 intake abroad.... ll be writing GMAT soon......

The twists and downfall:

1. My current company has given me a bad performance rating this year. Due to which I am getting really restless to switch..... These ppl are also not giving me onsite so that I can save money for my MBA... Bad performance bad hike... but yes, 3 years 7 months over....... coming Nov I will start to apply for colleges. I do not know whether it is right or not.... HELP NEEDED from you here... I want to know if I switch to another IT company, how will my prospects be in the interviews (MBA)........... I cant tell them this story......

2. Will really an MBA help me to grow in this insurance sector which includes the ALMI designation?

3. I saw many profiles from various international b-schools... rarely find people into insurance domain....
So... a. Is it advantageous?
b. Will it give a good scholarship as I am not financially sound... (I wish I had gone to onsite )...

oops forgot to mention my achievements and extras:

1. participated in world inter varsity chess championship in Malaysia..
2. Rated chess player
3. My final year project got published in international journal of engineering sciences and technology.

I have 6 more months.... do tell me if I need to do something else to touch my benchmark... I will do that too.. This is bcs I feel it is the right time to do the multitasking !

However it seems appropriate to modify the standard arguement and to use a more sophisticated version.replace the notion "human being"
with "human life form".the new practical syllogism is:
1.the killing of human life form is prohibited. 2.A feutus is a human life form. 3.the killing of feutuses is prohibited.the objection against the first premise of the atndard arguement still holds for a new sophisticated version.But,the second modified premise is much stronger than the previous one because one has to determine what a human life is really is.the feutus may be human life form but it hardly seems to be perdson and this has no corresponding basic right to survive.however this kind of talk goes astray because the criteria for personhodd may be suitable for just borns but not appropriate for feutuses,embryo,or unicellular zygotes,like some biological,psychological,rational,social or legal criteria may indicate.

according to paragraph the most serious problem with the practical syllogism in the standard arguement against abortions is:
(1) that one is able to argue against both the premises.

(2)that is advertently allows killing of people with severe mental handicaps.

(3)that it makes killing in self defence or in war immoral acts.

(4)that it treats the foetus as a fully developed human being.

(5)that its conclusion does not follow the premsie.

my take in bold.
first says killing featus prohibited. but that was true when we were using human beings in the syllogism. But when we replace that with human life form the conclusion doesnt hold true as it hasnt really taken life yet. something like that i guess
