I have a query with regard to GMAT. I have taken GMAT about 8 times and have managed to get the best score of 580 only!!! Now...its not that I am less intelligent or so...each time I have written....time for preparation has been a constraint along with the ego hurt that I am unable to score above 580.

I am a manager with HSBC exp. 5yrs 5 months.... I want to apply for courses starting 2009 at ISB-R2.

Considering the above, please suggest if I must be taking GMAT again...and if yes....How much must I score and how will ISB look at 9 times GMAT as?

Hello Sir

I am Hemanth from Bangalore. My profile is as below:

Class 10: 81%
Class 12: 60%
B.Sc: 50%
DNIIT: 77%

Work experience: 4 years and 7 months.
I work with HSBC as an Assistant Manager Operations, leading a team of 15 people. I have had good achievements at workplace. I have 3 months of International Experience wherein I migrated a process from US to Bangalore.

I have good extra curriculars at school level too. I have been part of enivronmental intiatives at work.

I have taken up GMAT, thrice and the max I could score is 580. with 4.5 in AWA. I have a 8.0 score on IELTS.

Could you kindly let me know if these are statistics acceptable for a high profile school like ISB? I am preparing to attempt GMAT one last time.

Currently pursuing Distance program in Business Administration from Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning.

B.Sc in Computer Science

Been part of AIDS awareness program as part of HSBC, Environmental campaigns, orphans organization campaigns, etc.

Been a founder and editor of a monthly magazine "FOOTPRINTS" which I started for HSBC in March 2004.
Trained Indian Classical singer; Artist.


I will be writing GMAT on Dec 18, 2006. I am looking for admissions in Sep 2007. I will have total of 4.5 years work exp. with 1 year as a Manager.

Could you please let me know if I would be ideal to apply for Cranfield and for other UK universities. How much of a financial aid will be available from HSBC UK since I am an employee...How do I work around scholarships?

4. What is the cost of education in the above colleges? Any scholarships available?

5. In UK, what are the top colleges to study in?

I have written the Common Admission Test [CAT] for Bschool admission in India twice. Looking at having an international exposure, please assist.
