to help u i'll ad a small story of 1 of my frnd.

once upon a tim ther was a guy calld Mr X who always wants to buy best tings at d lowest price.when a new ph N 66_ _ @ Rs 19000/- was lonched,he wantd it so much.but then he thought " if i wait for few months,d price will com down.i'll buy it then".when it bcam 15000,he was waitin.then it bcam 12000.he was still waiting.its arround 8000 now,he is still waiting.all these yrs he is without a mobil.he is diein for it bt still waiting for a lower price.

Well i aint gonna give u any sugar coated stuff... Mate u said ur degree was delayed.. which means Ur degree isnt a first class one... Correct me If im wrong... Most of the top B Schools go in for very high undergraduate GPA... So the effect of a not First Class Degree s gonna be worse... Id rather suggest u to hav a work ex of a coupla yrs more... N try makin your profile impressive.... Some really challenging assignments at work could make a lotta difference...Plus try n involve urself in activities of Social relevance... Part time Assignments wid sum NGO s could prove really useful... Belv me Top B Sculs.. Especially the American ones give it a lotta importance... It indicates that u r a gud potential leader...

Well.. u really cant change what has happened in the past.. So no point in frettin about it... But its never tooooo late... So gud luk mate...

Well any post graduate course taken right after ur undergrads has its own disadvantage for that matter... Employers would prefer ppl with work ex always... But the better side to it is dat u get to enter the corporate world in ur chosen stream that much earlier.. So if uve decided on wat u wanna do go ahead with ur PG.. As for admits if u hav a gud Gmat score and decent undergrad GPA, it shudn be a problem...

Reg stream.. My sincere suggestion wud be don take up a MSc course if u aint sure of wat u wanna do... As far as I c, A PG course wid do lots better if ya take up a specific stream as it reflects much better on ur interests..

And finally... Reg scholarships... I would say forget abt scholarships when ya apply to a UK univ, unless u hav an exceptional profile... Plus the flip side is Very very few univs hav funding for courses such as MSc Finance... Plz go thru the Univ prospectus for more details on dat.....

I'm posing this question once again....isnt a MSC advisable right after BCOM...no work exp???
I'm lookin at IB and MARKETING..but is a broad course like MSC mgmt better..as it'd broaden my options??

Hey guys is it worthwile to solve past year papers for practice? I have been suggested by a few people to solve timed papers for better time management practice before the test series starts.

its def worth solvin previous yr's papers.. as it ll giv u sum ide bt the actual diff of the papers.... But don bank toooo much on em.. Bcoz u neva knw what to expect in CAT.. Cat 2005 threw up a lot of surprises... so Beware....

But how many of u think the proposal would actually be implemented???? Well maybe its jus a kinda gimmic to woo the voters ahead of Assembly elections or so..

I am an OBC and strongly against this proposal,
I dont want any question marks on my ability after getting through a good business school.

Off-course there are deprived people who need to uplifted, but reservation doesnt solve the purpose even if u increase it to 100%.
The peolple who need support from the government are deep inside the villeges of haryana , Punjab and other states........its the responsibility of the government to provide them basic means of life......
Many of the villeges r not even properly connected by road.and dont have even a government school, the children have to walk 8-9 kms to reach there school, that is if they really want to study. I cant see any of these people getting into any of the central universities even if they have to compete only with SCs STs or OBC.
This is only a political farce because the government is running away from its responsibility of developing those areas which evidently is their responsibility.

So I would Urge all the OBCs to stand strongly against this Quota raj and push the government harder for REAL DEVELOPMENT.

Brilliant dude.... At the outset a loud round of applause for u.... In spite of being in a position to take adv of the sic quota sys, if u got the heart to stand against it.... Well certainly deserves appreciation.... But I mus tell u, the thin tat u urgin for hardly happens.. U wud probably be one in a million to do so...
