Hi Guys,

I have a query. I just gave my 8th Sem Exam of B.E. Computer Engg from Mumbai university and failed in one subject. I have to reappear for that subject in December 2006. My university considers only last two semester's percentage for degree. Now since I have become an ex student my college refuses to give me a provisional certificate. Also my aggregate for all last sems (1 to 7) comes to 49%. But after appearing for the december exam my Last year percentage will be 54%
Am I eligible to appear for the CAT. If so, what documents should I provide with the form.

my situation is a typical one..i completed my engineering in 2005.but was left wid 1 subject even after my engineering.and due to health concerns i was unable to write last year so will have to wite this year.and am sure will be completing it this december.Now the question is am i eligible,i have 62%.if i am eligible what are the certificates i have to produce?just help me guys..junta anyoen answer me...

well i'm taking up chetanas for finance. I'm an engineering student got 91 %ile in CAT. Have done engineering from Thadomal Shahani Engg college. I went to dalmias for the gd/pi and saw such a ghaati crowd and was not impressed with the location. In chetanas this year a laptop will be provided and we might have to pay max 15000 for it. My friend just finished his PGDBM from chetanas and he told me that the alumni base is very strong. The students have the right to choose and call any guest lecturers they like. If the students dont like any particular teachers they can chuck them out. I've heard a lot of good things about chetana and they are going the welingkar way. Spreading their brand name and revamping their infrastructure. It is so close to bandra kurla complex as well. Chetana is definitely a better choice than dalmias (my opinion).

I've heard that this course is not worth it.

Me too in. But I cant decide whether to take it or not. I want to take finance and I dont know if this course will help me or not. Plus I dont know the curriculum. So can someone guide me.

well there are 120 seats for mms and 120 for pgdbm in dalmias. So total 240 seats out of which everyone wants to take finance but only 120 are allowed to take it. So you have to get good marks in finance subjects then only they'll allow u to take it. Dalmias is better than chetanas for finance. I will take up chetanas if I dont get into dalmias.
