Till last time you could apply for family housing without even being accepted as a student, where are you getting such information from? You will get Utorid when you land here and go to college....do u want to wait till that time....???

Guys! This is a general post. I have been receiving a lot of concerns regarding finances, visa, spouse visa etc. One thing, points below are based on my own knowledge and you should try to find out things from all sources and do a thorough research before applying:

@vishal2507 Expeirence as far as it reflects quality it does not matter. You should be able to show some of the decisions you took and why you took them. If you led something that would be great. Have a good GMAT and things would be easy for you.

@shanky43 Next time you can mention me if there is a question directed to me since I would get a notification directly. I would try to keep it simple and straightforward:

Do not wait till the last day to apply for loans. It is a lengthy process and would overwhelm you with the amount of finances that you need to show to get the loan. Also, remember that everyone including Canadians are applying for the loan the same time as you, so earlier your file is there on the desk, the better it is. I remember processing times of sometime more than 1 month for the loan. Since some of you may not be having enough funds to show, time is of essence. Since you have to use this time to borrow funds from relatives, uncle, aunts and let it be there in your account before you apply for visa. It will cool off by the time you apply for visa otherwise there can be a question on the stability of your finances.

@SLK I can answer any concerns that you have here since that can benefit other people in the forum also. It would be a big sector for any developed country for that matter. You can ask the admission office to put you in touch with someone from that sector who is presently at Rotman.

Could somebody please share a brief on how to avail RBC/BMO loan?
Also, if somebody can share contact number/email address of a representative in these banks...that will be great.

Sarah you must have received some details with the admissions package, the details it carried about the loan are sufficient details for the loan. I am not saying I knew it from the beginning but after finding out all details and everything i can say that those are the details that you will need. After these details there are specific questions which you can address to their reps (listed in the Admissions package). Let us know if you have any other questions.

For the RBC loan you need:
1) Application Form
2) Bank Reference Letter stating your balance
3) Letters of Acceptance

For a loan of $47.5k u need to show $82.5k in your account. You can ask someone in India, Canada anywhere to be your sponsor and they should sign a letter stating such details.
You can also include liquid funds for showing $82.5k.
