CAT: 98.3 ...SPJ was my only call. did'nt expected to convert because of my choice of specialisation..M happy this time that what i expected didnt turned to reality ..which happens extremely rarely to me..

Heard that SPJ has only 8 engineers out of 32 in fin stream. Am interested in Fin only...

Does that mean that spj doesnt prefer engineers for fin...can any senior from SPJ through some light on what exactly these ppl are looking for a person in fin specialisation.

what sort of prep is required for GI in fin.

i too had sent the form of XLRI on 3rd dec. along with XAT DD. but i have not recieved the XL acknowledgement ( for XAT i received ack. on 8th).

i have asked one of my seniors in 2nd year of BM at XL to enquire about the status of my ack. and y these ppl r taking so long to upload the info..

lets hope that i get a +ve response by tom. from him...wil let u know u ppl asap.

huuuhhh!

these XL ppl r bloody *@#$. whenever i call them up to enquire about my payment reciept, they tell me to wait and see for 2 more dayz....

yaar! its such a cumbersome and idiotic system that these ppl r following.
I mean just look at the way JMET was conducted this year. No paper forms, no drafts, no acknowledgements by snail mail...and all the system was online and doubtfree.

hi all!

i had bought the XLRI form from the DU branch of SBI and had sent the XLPAF along with the 3rd copy of the bank slip to XL office on 3rd dec. along with that i had also sent the envelope containin XAT DD.

now i have recieved the payment authentication mail for XAT but for XL, i have recieved a mail saying that payments have not been made yet. how can it b possible when i'd sent both the forms by the same courier and on the same day. and one is recieved but the other is not.

is there nyone facing/faced a similar situation??

hi all!

i dont know wat to do.....huh..really feeling very low this time. got 48, 47, 32 ..and now again 46 in this AIMCAT..

this time i tried to keep my accuracy AROUND 80% BUT MY NO. OF ATTEMPTS WERE PATHETICALLY LOW...here r my scores

Attempt/Correct/Wrong/ Score
Va&RC; 28/19/9/16
DI 18/18/0/18
Quant 16/13/3/12

NET SCORE: 62/50/12/46

if I try to increased the attempts then my accuracy goes down...plz tell me how to improve upon that...nybdy?

PS: The paper was of moderate level..and nybdy with moderate preps can crack it if he kept his cool during the test..I think ideal score wud be around 65 in this sort of test.

Got really screwed up in todays AIMCAT..

Some things that I observed for which I am not able to find a solution and am not able to overcome are:

1. Nervousness and inability to hold my concentration for long.which resulted in :nervous: :
a. Unnecessary wastage of time on simple sitters.
b. Spotting of sitters itself
c. Getting easy questions wrong bcoz of hastiness.

2. Even though I feel confident in Quant but am not able to convert it to good scores.also my accuracy rate in quant is well below the normal levels..

Desperately searching for solutions to above difficulties..nybdy facing similar problems can come forward to sort them outand rest others r also requested for their advices

My scores are:

Attempt/Correct/Wrong/Net score

ENG: 30/23/7/20.66
QA: 16/10/6/8
DI: 24/21/3/20

Total:70/54/16/48.66

Total Attempt: 42.4 %
Strike Rate: 77.1%

My AIMCAT 501 score was 47.67.so an improvement of just 1 mark..huh

1. does workex in an automobile company(Maruti, in which i have to join soon) as a GET(Graduate Engineer Trainee) counts in PI?

2.almost everyone i have read in this forum is from IT sector..so is there nybdy who cracked CAT after working in a manufacturing company?

3. do u really get time for preps. after spending 8-9 hrs on shopfloor...huh?
