Hello seniors...............!

Hello everyone.....seniors please throw some light regarding the day of interview at the Pilani campus......is it that kinda interview that we need to worry a lot about or will it go smoothly?

It is the interview and it has some purpose. You should understand its importance and take it seriously. It will go smoothly, They will let you feel very good during the interview. But you have to worry bcoz they won't let you know whether all is well or not.

And to worry is not the solution, instead focus on your preparation. I can understand the kind of nervousness and fear factor that one witnesses before the interview, but as an MBA aspirant you are supposed to have the skills to manage this.

I want to clear the fact that the performance in GD and PI would be crucial to get admission here. The person who have not scored well in online screening test and still have got call, may easily get admission here by performing well in it. And the person who have scored very good may lost if he/she fails to perform. So please do not underestimate it and be prepared.

They will ask questions and your opinions on current affairs and some basic definitions like Repo Rate, Reverse Repo, Basic Rate and time value of money. They will also ask questions related to your work-ex(if any). Apart from that, They will certainly ask you 'Why do you want to do MBA?'

It is 'mcq' where you will get around five RC passages to solve.

Hi everyone,

I got through the BITS online test and planning to attend the GD/PI.
I have work experience of 4 yrs and 8 months.
I would like to know about the Peer group (Class profile)..
Are there people with over 4 yr exp ?..

@SSJRaj..... First of all, I welcome you to the institute.
In my class(2010-12) of 52 students, about 35 students have work-ex ranging from 3 months to 5 years. Avg. work-ex is 1.8years(approx). Three students have work-ex in range of 4 to 5 years also.

To know better and about your peers profile you should visit the campus on the aforementioned date. Here you can meet your prospective peers and faculties. You can also visit different departments to resolve your queries like Placement Division and Management Department. Then only you decide whether to take admission or not!


To all Aspirants: I would suggest all of you who have shortlisted for GD/PI, to visit the campus on the aforementioned date and then take the decision on the basis of your experience and the information that you will collect directly from the concerned authorities. Some people, I don't know with what motto have been consistently throwing poison(May God give them the better job). I welcome all of you and wish you all the best to get through further rounds.

itne saare confusion......adding one more.....shortlisted candidates ko letter bhi aaya hai kya?

No hard-copy of letter would come by post....... Just check your result of written test.
If you are qualified, you will see the soft-copy of the letter with instructions. Just take the printout and bring it to the institute.

There is nothing wrong in raising your doubts about placement and curriculum here. And at-least it is supposed from the person who is going to embark upon MBA. MBA is the thing where you analyse different things like fault in marketing channel, risk associated with bonds, risk in stocks and its portfolio, communication channel, etc. I really appreciate this skill that will help you in accomplishing your goals.

As far as BITS system is concerned, it is not made exclusively for MBA students. Most of the classes are taken together by MBA and BE students. There is just one placement committee, one library, shared academic buildings, shared classes, one student welfare division, one admission office.

Placement committee discloses the name of the companies those visit the campus for all the BITS student together. So for the name of companies you can visit the placement webpage(not updated after april) Campus Placement BITS Pilani
Here you can see the names of the companies as 'Kartanj sir' mentioned in his mail.
Some companies were exclusively for MBA students(Procter and Gamble, Grasim, Idea Cellular, Ernst & Young, TCS, gohnson and gohnson, Uco Bank, HT Media), some were exclusively for other students and some others(MuSigma, FuturesFirst, JP Morgan Chase, SmartCube) were for MBA as well as other students.
