Im pulling out of the JBIMS race cos im gonna join IIFT.
So goodluck! the list moves up by 1.

and for prep what i did was watch youtube videos

Solve 5 mocks full 3 hrs each
Solve any wrong questions again and read that part of the book.

No brother. U will pass for sure if ur total score is above 70%. Just want to something. How could you prepare urslf with so low time...i understnd..having worked in trading for 5 years ur concepts are well in place... but still u need to do the formulas..practice problems n stuffs....

ive traded for 5 years
+ im a B com Fresh out of college just gave my grad exams
So FRA & Corp FIn was a piece of cake..
Quant & Ethics I had to work a bit
Quant was fast because of CAT prep
The alternative investments & Derivatives / Swaps/ Valuations I was well in sync with cos of trading experience

Hello Guys
I put in like 80 to 100 hours of study for this exam
But i have been trading equities / Commodities & Forex for 5 years now :P.
Exam was good.
Getting above 70% in all sections in morning exam for sure.
And in afternoon exam my ethics im not sure how much ill get cos quite some questions were Dicey So expecting around 60% on lower end in ethics but easily going to get above 70 - 75 % in rest all sections

Question: If some one has an agg above 75% like around 80
But his ethics score say averages 65 by some bad luck Will he be flunked ???

1 more important thing for choice heavy exams with low negative marking it is an important strategy!
what most aspirants do if they don't know an answer is that they just walk away and not take the chance. Where as this is statistically WRONG.
Let me explain...
in exams like IIFT /XAT/SNAP & now CMAT where 1/4th negative marking exists. do not leave a single question unanswered. Even if you cant eliminate any option.
However i suggest to try and eliminate atleast 1 or 2 options to improve your Odds.
To explain:
and keep it simple without using IIFT's complex marking strategy
say 100 questions exist 4 marks for a correct answer -1 for a wrong answer
a student marks 80 correct and flukes 20
Probability states that from 20 questions he will get 5 right even if he eliminates no options.
thus his marks payoff from those 20 questions for not knowing anything will be (5*4)-(15*1)= 5 marks which is not a bad deal! Trust me the Odds Improve Much better When you can eliminate some options.
say he can eliminate just 1 option in all the 20 questions chances are he will get 6-7 right thus increasing his payoff dramatically.

gave full attempted papers for XAT SNAP & CMAT.
IIFT as it was the first of the paper exams I marked questions where i could eliminate 1 option.
Result IIFT convert.
XAT 99.77 But no call cos of Uneven Scores
SIBMP Convert
CMAT rank 40

In Short Probability can give you more marks than the number of questions asked from the topic if you apply it

The beauty of IIFT's question paper is the ample amount of choice you are given while solving the paper. :D
I.e Cutoffs are below 50 out of 100. dont know exact figure.
So for every 1 question u solve you can afford to not solve a question. So manage your time well.
As of Now Just Practice DI sets,logic, Quant & RC's no special prep needed ur cat prep should be enough. as for absurd 7 digit % questions with answer choices super close. don't Attempt those or even if you do attempt after elimination strategy spend as little time on it as possible.
3] Buy sm practice IIFT papers i guess Test funda sells a good set ull get 3-4 question papers specific to IIFT
4] and most important Stress on GK getting 6 to 7 marks in gk can make all the difference i.e 60-70% cos its 6 marks in like 5 minutes! giving you the time needed for the lengthy DI & RC sets.
