Now confused whether to join NMIMS or SCMHRD

The arrogant Aussies need to be taught a lesson and hopefully 24th will be the day.With Ashwin back in the team India's bowling looks relatively better.Hope we had another fast bowler to support Zak instead of the "Spineless" Munaf.Hoping that the boys will deliver the goods and bring back the coveted World Cup back to INDIA.

Have wasted my 2 days waiting for the result:drinking:Will the same admission ppl agree if we delay the payment of fees by two days?its heights of unprofessionalism.I think they are too ashamed even to change the date from 19th march.Pls excuse for the harsh words as some things need to be put in direct manner.

Had my Slot today at 5.30.was able to answer only one question and then couldn't proceed further as the window was showing "updating next question" but nothing really happened.

Filled my preference in the spreadsheet but haven't received any confirmation mail regarding the same.Is anyone facing the same problem?Will i get an another shot at the interview?

My interview is on Mar.4th...I will be flying from b'lore on 3rd of march n still have not got any confirmation mail regarding my accomodation.tried callin the boys hostel incharge but he is not pickin up the phone.Seniors Pls help!!

Had my GE/PI on 8th feb,1.00 p.m slot.

Any other details that you would like to mention:
The process was very smooth and got over well within 3 hours.

Written assesment : Don't exactly remember the words but the summary goes something like this: Learning for the sake of learning is not desirable and ppl should focus more on goal oriented education.

Case study : We were a group of 5 as one guy had changed his slot.We were given the case of a company which is contemplating on outsourcing.As board of directors of the company we were to decide whether outsourcing will be beneficitial to the company or will cause any harm to the company.
We were able to come to a consensus as everyone had pretty much the same views.

Group interview/Case study 2 : We were given a case of a person ,who on friday night had plenty of work to complete.His colleagues ask him to join them for a party.He is in a dilemma as to whether to complete his work or socialize with his colleagues,both of which are equally important.
Here also we were able to arrive at a consensus.

P.I. : The experience was wierd to say the least
Being a Work-ex guy had expected a lot of questions on work-ex but it eventually didn't turn out to be so.

Panelists : A Middle aged guy(MG),An internal faculty(IF) who was a lady,a senior student and the Bakra(Me)

MG : So u work for so and so company.Tell us bout ur job?
Bakra : Blah,Blah.

MG : So is it related to new tech from mercedes benz?
Bakra : Blah Blah.

MG : So all that ur company does is charge more for the same product.
Bakra : Tried to convince him that we invest in R & D which costs us a huge sum n hence we need to compensate for that.

IF : Have u faced any failures in life?
Bakra : Not one,but three.

IF : Explain?
Bakra : Tried to explain how i had managed to score a good score in my PUC after a series of low scores.told them about the altercation i had with my P.M and how we settled the issue etc..etc..

MG : Do u have a Girl Friend?
Bakra : No.(Dunno why the hell he asked that)

MG : Why not?
Bakra : Was way too focussed on my academics and some other family issues.

IF : So tell me an instance where u have done multi tasking?(Then i realised the intent of the previous ridiculous question)
Bakra : Told 3 instances during my college and work life.

MG : Tell me about ur association with CSR?
Bakra : Told them about my responsibilities and functioning of the CSR Dept of my company.

MG : So u seem to be like this dude who tends to learn from his failures and doesn't hav a GF.Why should we take u?
Bakra:(Now wat am i supposed to answer to that???)Still told him that i have been very frank with my answers and this is generally how i lead my life,tending to learn from my failures and mistakes.Told him bout my strengths.

MG : Which other calls r u expecting?
Bakra : IMT-G

MG : Even I am from IMT-G(He was bluffing as i knew that he was an alumni of SCMHRD)..Tell me frankly which one would u choose?IMT-G or SCMHRD?
Bakra :SCMHRD and gave a stereotypic ans to why SCMHRD.

As a Software engineer in XYZ I am responsible for providing solutions and co-ordinating between the Indian development team, the German counterpart team and the OEM. This entire journey actually has given me a chance to open my intellectual door to the nebulous world of management and business and has helped me realize how market needs drive product development. I now feel it is time for me to make a vital transition in my career.
An MBA will help me take that leap.In the short run, the general management program from IIT-D will help me make headways into strategy and marketing divisions of prominent firms, thus enabling me to take up organizational-wide roles and honing my leadership skills. In the longer run, I plan to start my own firm.
The peer interaction, the faculty and the flexibility in the curriculum at IIT-D not only hone my business and group skills but also provide me with an opportunity to explore other uncharted areas of business.

While I have been a mute spectator of this thread for a long time now, I felt compelled to write a post considering the wrath of anticipation has arguably reached the pinnacle of your minds!

When I say, "I understand", trust me folks.. I do! And I am talking as someone who waited for CAT 2009 results last year. So, I suppose you agree I can empathize with you all.

It is true that anticipation will ruin your mind.. Over the years having seen it on PG, I see that wait for announcement of GD/PI list is analogous to wait before getting an acceptance or rejection from a GIRL you've proposed to..! One has to wait for her say.. You can do nothing!

You know you might crib with your closest friend/brother/sister about how the wait is frustrating... It is same here.. valid..! But I guess (can't say 'trust me' here) when she says yes.. you know the wait was worth it! (Guys with GF's can perhaps understand better?!) Same goes with results too :)

So, in spite of the delay, the sun will shine in your lives tomorrow! I still remember the day our GDPI results came. I had gotten an SMS at 2 PM in the night saying I was selected for SCMHRD's GD PI.. and that SMS is still part of my Inbox! You shall get one too soon... and when you get it.. you'll treasure it!

We are eagerly awaiting to meet you folks too. Bare on for a couple of days too before we officially welcome you to the GDPI process to our campus. Relax and enjoy..!

The only intent has been to pacify people.All we want to know is why the declaration of the result has been delayed.After a similar fiasco last year we were hoping for the things to be set right this year.But unfortunately that didn't happen.
