on a vry solid note ..Look at 2 things ..a Strong brand... and sum1 who can show you a rough career growth of 2-3 yrs.. Dont be domain( marketing/finance/sales/branding) or sector specific ...wat u mite b askin on campus mite well be wat u'll not end up doin!!

Back the Placements team..offer help in case of personal contacts..Companies r showin signs of hiring bak... yet cautious.. Keep ur Basics vry strong ...

OMG!! Its jus been the longest that I hav been er away from PG. but Good 2 be back on this Thread..Work takes 2 much time away. But I miss a lot of those days very sorely . (Specially the chillin out part!!!).. None of those at HDFC Bank...

on a more serious note..its a diff world @work...ruthless yet easy...lots of learning..sum gr8 ppl...so far so good...

I am sure the likes of Akshit, gunjali &others; will b thr for the class os 09-11, but if u guyz need any help on any front...do send a pm or post!!!...

I am really excited seeing all u guys write about ur experience in SIESCOMS... I am from the 09-11 and in the past month since our class started it has been a wild ride... The entire month seems like a blur .... Not a single day was a normal college day .... Each day felt like a new experience... From the corporate interactions to Career counselling to the personality tests to the presentations and ...oh well... the lectures ... Its only now that the college is closed for a week(on account of all colleges and schools being asked to close cos of the swine flu) that I have got time to take a breather and catch up on some studying ....

Need sme help from you all. I have got thru in the 2nd minority list. I stay in Goregaon. And m planning to do up down daily rather then shifting to nerul..Can any one help me out wid the college timings and the activities that happen thruout the day. What are the normal college hours including lectures and other activities. How many days a week do we have college. Can any seniors throw some lite on this. It will be tough for me to travel. Am confused wht shud I Do. My score is 153 and I will get rizvi for sure and maybe Chetana if I wait till 4th round.

as far as the timings are concerned...colleges starts at around 9 and goes on till max 5 in the evening....and after tht u guys need to sit for ur different projects and assignments to which there are no fixed timings...

but ya....college doors are closed at 9 PM...

I have seen that some seniors are really active on the thread and have some queries on which they could throw light.....

1. what is the actual fees for the programme.
2. what about hostel or some other accomodation facilities.
3. configuration of lapppiie provided by them .could we not buy at our own.
4. how is the placement figures(avg high low) and companies came this year.
will u please give detailed information.
5. what about profiles offered and % of people placed.
6. when do we need to tell them about our specialisatio (is it 2nd year or 1st yr only). what about dual specialisation.I am at crossroads now about it.
7. Is this necessary to submit experience certificate (having 20 months wex after engg.) right at the time of submitting 1st installment. as i could not resign instantaneously.
8. Do v need to submit all our original certificates at the time of submitting 1st installment at college or can v get d them back after varification.

I guess the total fees shud come upto Rs 365000 for 2 years including laptop....

the placements details you wud completely find it on the college website...and ya more than 80 percent of the students r already palced....

the profiles i can tell u depending on wat specialisation u interested in...and ya u hav to choose your specialisation in 1st year by 1st sem...coz accordingly u will be placed for ur summers...

pls give ur experience certificate wen u make ur fees payment....
