For scholarship you need two factors:

1) Good performance in undergrads

2) A comparatively low annual income.

The application form should contain a coloumn asking you if you want to apply for scholarship.

There are no additional tests. Mark appropriately on the form and get your family's annual income certificate if you are selected for the interview.

The other instance in which a scholarship is given is if you top both the written exam and the interview.

The fact that each human being works only for their selfish need and look at the world's problems from his own selfish viewpoint (whether it directly affects him/her or not). This means that there is not enough people power for the right causes, and people continue to suffer. People suffer due to various reasons and make others suffer due to their apathy. The whole world thus lives in misery. Unscrupulous people take advantage of the global apathy to further their sick agendas, in whatever field and of whatever kind they may be.

I do not believe in a God external to life. God is nothing but the purest, deepest conscience of the Universe. It is that "One" which is present in the 7 billion humans on earth, the animals, the plants and even the non-living. In short it is the soul of the Universe.

I do have an idol of Lord Ganesha with me though. I do not know any prayers, but I believe he represents wisdom and intellect, two qualities I need most Also, I would not make a detour to any temple to pray for myself, but I might do it for others (because their situation is out of my hands). This happens very, very rarely though. The last time I visited a temple was in January 2012 - the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai. For what reason? To pray for Sachin Tendulkar's 100th century!

I have no idea. They do not announce the marks of selected candidates, or any percentile. They only announce the names via their website and a courier to your home. But suffice to say that you need a pretty strong performance in the English section, because the GK section is very tough as a rule.

No, no papers are available, because you aren't allowed to take the papers home after the exam. Rather, the Q and Ans paper is the same.

You should be proficient in English language - especially grammar and sentence construction, idioms, similar sounding words etc. Your GK should be good, they ask out of the world GK Qs!

Also be prepared with knowledge of current affairs, there will likely be one current affairs essay type Q on this!
