Just wanted to tell a small story.
It was 2006, and I was running Cross country, obviously I was not in my present condition and Cross country was I guess 9KM.
We had to take the first lap of 200M inside the school, and last lap of 200M inside the school. I had no hope from myself, and out of 120 students running(20 each from 6 houses) top 100 would have received points, i.e. 1st gets 100 and 100th gets 1 point.
So, when I finally entered the last 200M of lap(not knowing what my position was at that moment) everyone from my house cheered me up and asked to push for that last 200M, I could see 2 guys in front of me, I gave all that I had overtook one around 100M mark and the next one in the last 5M, it became all exciting and eventually I finished 98th, getting 3 vital points for the house. We eventually finished 2nd in Cross country.
Points from cross country finally added up and we won the House Trophy by 1 point !!( This is the fucking best trophy you would have ever seen, close to 3.5 Feet tall )
So, that last 200m of push took not just me but a lot of guys to get that coveted house trophy and memories that would last forever.
Come on Guys, it's not just you, but a lot more of people that you can't see while running, you'll see them when the race ends and you're on the winning side
All the best :)
