regarding why MBA question
does the answer always have to be related to the healthcare sector and pharma
will it be wise to say if one wants to enter finance(or any other non health related field) in which case it will be quite clear that one is escaping from the medical field
is it necessary to present yourself in a way that your graduation is aligned with your future goals......will an answer like finance make me look confused? will the revolutionary answer of leaving medical field be a foolish mistake?
also how to answer questions like
India needs doctors why should we take you?
Why did you waste a seat (govt. money)?
Why dont you think about people who would get treated by you if you dont come into management?
No you don't have to say fields related to medical (all the time), but you should show some flexibility in your approach. It is not about escaping medical field but about how you want to design your future, if there are opportunities available outside medical field for doctors then why can't you have inclination towards it without trying to escape medical and to have mere interest in management.
If you say some specific field like finance or marketing then get ready to face questions related to field. You can always say that you have not decided yet but at this moment your choice or interest is finance or...( still you may face question related to the field)
India needs doctors but India also needs managers who are doctors and can align their medical knowledge with managerial skills for greater benefit of India.
Nothing goes in waste, medical knowledge will always help (and same is for all other streams). Here you can give example of hospital chains and pharma industry where your medical knowledge gives you upper hand.
'Patient get treated.....' is same question as answered above (to test your real intention interviewer puts same question in different words, in such a situation your answer should not change)
Don't say anything which will make them think about your ethics.
