I got waitlisted on 26th March after my interview on 18th March.

No updates since then...

I have been waitlisted but I am very much interested in getting admission at UIUC. Can seniors please guide me on how can I make my application stronger.

Toefl:108
Work Exp:5.5 yrs
GPA: 3.4

You can always send an update about what has changed in your profile since you submitted your application...something that is significant...like change of role..additional responsibilities..promotion etc.

Hey Sairam. I am not accepting UIUC either. I have a $5k schol from UIUC but that doesn't suffiice. :(
Among the options which I had, Great Lakes was offering me the best ROI and things look promising for this school in future (new campus etc.). I will be taking a sabbatical leave from my present employer and joining Great Lakes at Chennai for 1 year MBA.

hey guys..just FYI..I will not be accepting the Illinois offer. I am unable to secure funds required over the period of two years. Also, I am not confident of taking a huge loan in current market scenario.

I will be informing ad-com by mail. Hopefully a waitlisted Indian gets the admit.

I received a decision notification today. I have been waitlisted.

I had my interview on 18th March. Kerry Terrel took the telephonic interview.

She asked standard questions :

About urself
Why MBA at this point of time
What factors do u look for while choosing an MBA program
One difficult situation
Leadership experience
Any questions for me

The total process took 30 minutes. She said the results will be informed in 2 weeks.
I asked her about the GA. She said top 25% of the entering class gets the GA.
