Wouldbecrazy - let me try and answer your questions. maynot be able to give you the exact figures.
1. to put it bluntly - the placement figures are sad. but this is true for all the colleges in the UK including Oxbridge who are probably having a tougher time than us considering their fees is a lot higher. I recently met some people from last years batch at Insead, 80% of the indians there are still unemployed. so iam sure this gives you a fair idea of how the situation is. but if you have been following the news - david cameron recently made a statement where they might ease the visa regulations for Indians.
2. average work experience of the class is about 6-7 years
3. approx 30% of the class is indians. this year we have around 40 nationalities amongst us
4. well the experience of most of the people is quite varied. we have a doctor amongst us, a person from the army, a rocket scientist, a few entrepreneurs, many accountants and ofcourse the majority are from an IT background.
5. well, the placement scene throughout the UK is different from how it is in india, here they dont spoon feed the jobs to us but expect us to go out and find one for ourselves. the careers plus team @ WBS is probably one of the most active and the best teams in entire England and have been helping us with various skill building sessions and connecting us with companies outside. but the overall situation is sad, i dont think anyone can really influence that @ this moment.
6. well, most of us have applied for a few internships and are in the process of applying. its too early to say nehting.
hope this answers your questions!!!
