I have booked my GMAT slot in the end of Aug-2012, I plan to apply for colleges both in India and abroad. I work for an Automaker in India , I want to know if my Work-Ex of 4.5 yrs (by Mar-2013) be a constraint for B schools in India. To be very specific will 4.5 years of Exp be a reason for rejection for B schools in India.

Dont worry and give your best. Infact I also had similar work ex and this year I have cleared IIM L, K and waitlisted in I. So a good CAT/GMAT score and good 10th 12th score will nullify your high work ex.

Update from my side...Finally I am going for IIM K. People may curse me for not joining IIM L even after having converted it. But then again there are some circumstances over which you dont seem to have much control. Also, God's own Kampus is a place to be. Let me see how many of the underdogs will be my fellow Kampusmates for the next two years.

when is the last date to accept your offer? and did you get any mail regarding your offer? your category pls... thanks in advance

Last date is 6th June.
I haven't got any mail till now. My category is General.

try talking to ur Hr...companies will be considerate in case of higher studies...its just today that u got the results, talk with ur manager and HR first. Joining cant be delayed...

This was after lot of coaxing. My initial day of release was 29th as I would have joined IIM K on 2nd July.
The joining cant be delayed means...Its bye bye IIM Lucknow.

Or can there be any way out.

Hi Seniors,
I just cleared IIM L PGP today in the fourth list. But the problem is that I can only get released from my company on 21st June and can join IIM L on 22 June. Is there any way that my joining be postponed to 22nd June. Will there be any issues or have to forget joining Hel(L)

Can somebody tell mke when classes will start at IIM L?
