Like all other Google views, this one also might be little old, Hence GMP hostel is not there in the picture. Actually it is located at end ( North of Faculty Resudence ).

I was there 10 days back it is quite swanky. I am sure all of us will like it.

1. Dates for GMP 08-09 batch not yet announced and schedule will be received alongwith the admit letter. However to give you an idea, last year batch started on 24th June.

2. 1st installment amount as given on the website is Rs 325,000/-. Last date for depositing same not given. Though it is likely that it will be required by end April.

any updates about number of seats............somone told me it is 120....but need to be confirmed..........seeing the repsonses on this post i am quite sure it is more than 60.....

Good to know that you are also from Jsr and living in Gurgaon. I was in KMPM 87 batch. I tried to find the number of seats at XLRI, but did not not get any numbers from adcom. Met some of the seniors but they also did not have clear picture.

I am also in.

Had telephonic interview scheduled on 21st March, which was changed to PI at XLRI at my request. Because of sudden change in my company's plan I landed in India on 14th March.

XLRI has been really kind to reschedule my interview after dates for PI were over and I thank them for that.

My interview was conducted by a panel of three Profs. I could recognise Prog Chairman Prof.Ray, who was sitting in the centre. Could not identify other two.

Interview Date - 21st March @ XLRI

Do we have to request Pearson Vue to send GMAT scores to XLRI or is it sufficient to attach a copy of the score report to the application.

Also, do we have to mail any supporting documents ?

As per instructions in the application form, a copy of the GMAT score report needs to be sent.

And since XLRI is quoting their GMAT code for sending GMAT score, I think they want score to be sent by Pearson Vue also.

Now can I apply thru normal form from bank and fill my details on xlri.edu. If yes then how will I be able to apply to GMP thru GMAT

Application Procedure

A candidate has the option of either taking XAT 2008 or submission of GMAT Scores. Those taking XAT need to register for XAT 2008, being held on January 06, 2008. The last date of application is November 30, 2007. Others should send their GMAT score (GMAT Code WW2-8N-93) taken between January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2007 along with their application to reach XLRI by January 15, 2008.

Just curious to know how long does it take to receive official score from GMAT guys? I wrote my GMAT on Oct 22nd but have not received my official score sheet yet.

Also is there a way to confirm whether GMAT scores have been sent to the schools that we select at time of writing the test?

Normally it takes around 3 days to receive the score on yr mail ID and about 10-15 days for hard copy by courier.

Now "Application Results" has been changed to "Admission Results" on IIMA website. My heart had already started racing, before I saw that results to be declared only on 31st.

Last year results were out on 27th Oct ( Friday ).

Some of the staff at the IV venue stated that this year too results may be out few days in advance.

I too have a gut feeling that results may be out by 26th Oct ( Friday ) evening.

I also belong to shipping background and if you remember, I met you on 15th at IIMA. I saw yr post today only and I am wondering what made you so frustated with your job.

First of all, Yr ..... UNIQUE IN NATURE ..... profile could be the difference between a call or, a ding from IIMA or, any good B-School.

I don't understand what your career in shipping has got to do with you been cut off from the REAL WORLD or, DEGRADING YOUR INTELLECTUAL ABILITY. That too when you are claiming that you learned a lot in merchant navy.

Every profession in the world has got pros and cons. Take the trouble of digging little deeper.

If what you are saying is correct then you wouldn't find Indian Merchant Navy officers at at every B-School worth its salt, whether it is IIMA, Kellogs, Wharton, HBS or, LBS.
