today i got a mail from iift offering me admission into IIFT-K, my lucky day!

now, can seniors plz tell me what all do we have to bring to the iift-k campus on registration day? i suppose i have to bring my graduations docs along with the MC and the affidavits specified in offer letter. anything else which i'm supposed to bring?
and, can i bring a formal business suit in place of blazer? what's the situation with formals? plz help! this is a last moment anxious situation as i have no idea of what all i'm supposed to bring to iift?

Congrats and Welcome to IIFT!!

- Get your marks card, degree certificates, caste certificates if applicable and work ex related letter along with letter of admission + affidavits.
- DD for hostel and other fees
- Yes, u can get business suit. Get about 5 to 10 sets of formal shirt and trousers for the first few weeks usage.

hey, is there a pointer syste in IIFT delhi or absolute grading?? Is any senior in IIFT studying for CFA or in my batch intending to do so..??
I have not received my provisional degree from college yet..is it compulsory to bring with us at the time of registration or we can do away with it later..senior plzz reply..

Dont worry about the grading till the exams and the results are announced which would happen by Sep or October... Grading system can change and hence no confirmation on it... There are enough students who are giving CFA exams at various levels. You don't need Degree Certificate, but please do proivde the provisional one at the earliest. For July 1st, atleast get a college attested Photo copy of the final results sheet that was displayed in the college.

1 doubt.... can the black blazer have self stripes (nothing gaudy but having some self stripes)? or shud it be PLAIN black only?

Its fine, not an issue... Plain/ self stripes doesnt matter.. But I prefer u to buy a plain one.

And is there any particular format or style for the coat...And what about trousers any specific colors or style. Actually few of my friends in FORE were asked not to wear trousers with linings etc They told me it was more of a seniority issue.. But still i thought it is better to confirm before getting one...

Hmm, normal blue/ black... most of the good brand names have only those normal colors..and no particular style...

Hello Guys,

I am a huge mess and need your help. I wasn't there in any waitlist that IIFT had for Kolkata campus. Out of nowhere, I got a letter from IIFT on June 15 stating that I have been selected for Kolkata campus which was obviously the best day of my life. Since I could give only 15 days of notice, managers are creating problems and are not ready to accept my resignation.

Seniors, please advise as to what are the requirements of IIFT regarding the experience letter and other such documents. Are the payslips and the employment letter(indicating the current date and my date of joining) sufficient for me to be eligible for lateral placements and for IIFT requirements? Do you have any such case to relate.

Please, I am in need of dire help...!!

Once u quit the firm, you will get the experience letter from your organization. That should suffice for laterals.

Just a clarification: I think pillows are not provided by the college.. U can get them at Katwaria Sarai easily

May be the difference in staying in OH and NH has its effects Saurav :-)
I was lucky to have pillows provided by the college. May be its random and few rooms might have and few might not. And as Saurav said, u can always buy them.
