DI was a bit tuf, n since wen dis DS ques cum into QA?? :wow:
5) Any tips to handle the computer based exam better?
Nothing much, jus go thru da tutorial, n don fall asleep...
6) Your overall analysis of the exam. Toughness, sections etc.

QA- easy-moderate... Many sitters, 4-5 tuff ones... left 3 initially, came bak 2 do 2 more, 1 wrong out of dem, silly nistake...:banghead:
DI- tuff, lengthy... Puzzles were lengthy, 3 ques sets were either calculation intensive or tricky. All can b answered, but den u mite fall short of tym..
VA- loads n loads of PC.. suck at dem, so dunno VA easy, rc 4-3-2, one ques had tone of author no idea, left. 4 ques rc was philosophical... tuf, but can b reduced 2 2 options, after dat to.. raam jane (n not dat gud in VA btw)
Overall, nice paper, had sumthing 4 everythng, not 2 easy, not 2 tuf, bit lengthy, not 2 much so though...

Hi!! I am a fresher, giving CAT for the 1st tym. M giving aimcats regularly (missed a couple maybe), My %ile generally ranges from 97-99+, with a couple of 94s and a solitary 90:splat: way back. But the no. of test takers in AIMCAT has droppd (~15 k), so how reliable is the %ile?? And if CAT goes like a normal AIMCAT day, how good are my chances?

Den again, i hav low 10-12 %:splat: (86.8 and 80.2 resp, state board), how hard is it going to hit me?? I hav heard ppl say IIMB,L keep very high standards 4 10-12 scores, is it true??

The other query is, my score, accuracy, attempts etc remain fairly constant irrespective of difficulty level of the test. Ne way i can increase my score proportionaly if the paper is easy??

Another thing that is bothering me is, sometimes i make a lot of mistakes in QA or DI, inspite of the paper being moderately tough. My stategy is QA-DI-VA, with 50-55 for QA,40-45 for DI n 25-30 for VA (I generally attempt all VA ques).

well this kind of series comes in CAT as well -- (no formula i have mugged up ...if u wanna see those then perhaps Girl DT has those formulas)
but better go by simpler aproach

write the sum of series
S = t1+t2+t3.....+tn
S = .. + t1+t2+.....+t(n-1)+tn

difference of both the series (which are same) will give u zero and the difference will be a (sum of an AP) - tn = 0
hence tn = newly formed AP
as test window gets over ask the ques again....if it is not clear.. will show u solution by this example only.

Looks like the top score is going to be more than twice my score
It feels good to know that there are people who believe in your ability, especially if it is after pathetic performance! I will try to do better next time!

Btw, cud u giv some tips on DI?? My paper seems 2 hinge on DI... M stable in quants (Around 35-40) n VA(30-35). Bt DI varies a lot...

After some good performances, comes along a mock where I give up my biggest strength: my accuracy

The paper on the whole was tedious(the most detested category of mocks) rather than difficult and this prompted me to go all out for random attempt making which led to the score above. Still happy bcoz after seeing the scores on PG I think its a good enuf score for 99+. Waiting for the DT members to put up their scores.

P.S This has to be the most inactive AIMCAT thrd this yr, where are u puys??, koi score updates nahi from the regulars.

DUDE!!! TIPS!! PLZZZZZZZ...
Specially on DI. M fairly stable on quants, m unable 2 do nething wid va... end up wid a 60-70% accuracy. But i think i can improve on DI.

Gave my aimcat a few days back, din hav time 2 post earlier, placements n all....

QA was fine, attempted 14. DI was tough, wasted time on dat BE/Mtech prob n cudnt solve ne. The profit-expence graph set was simply beautiful... Went on an answering spree in VA, answered 25-26. Was expecting 10-12 wrong here, cause i thought the RC questions were a bit vague... God knows how i got only 12 wrong.. Either i got all correct in QA-DI, or i rocked in VA.:-o Neway, 2nd gr8 aimcat in succesion.. Still doubt its a fluke, but if i score 100+ next one 2, well, i hav 2 admit, i jus mite hav improved. (No idea how, though).
