Is there going to be another round of calls for waitlists? If so, by when? Any idea, people?

As per ISB, there will be another round of calls probably after 2oth march incase somebody opts to deny the admission offer

I am also in. What a feeling...it's amazing.

I have been rejected by ISB too, am planning to apply for the next year. But I see that the feedback link is no longer available. Is this the case for everyone..the reject email said we could request for fedback..

Feedback link should be available from the month of March/April. Usually feedback process will start once the entire admission process is done and as per ISB, feedback will be sent from the month of May.

I agree higher the gmat is always the better and i think trying to make it beyond 750 will be very good. Difficult to achieve but worth it I guess.

Improving the essays further goes without saying.

Now coming to some question

1) Work Profile - What do you mean by improving work profile... achievements? Change in the Role?

You will anyways have an addition 1 year of work ex.

2) Now coming to another question.. Does ISB look at people in the range of 5-7 years more favorably? Or less favouably then the majority junta of 4-5 yrs work ex.. keeping aside application and other stuff... I mean is the exp considered a plus? Looking at the class profile there are more ppl in the range of 3-5 than 5-7.

Yeah I agree with you mate. While going thru ISB 2010 admits details, I found out that there are lot of people with 3 to 5 years of experience. Don't know what the ISB strategy is.

Here is my profile in brief:
10th class: 83%
Intermediate: 88%
B.Tech : 75% (Electronics and Communications)
PGDESD : 76% - class topper (post graduate diploma in embedded systems design)
work ex: 4+ yrs - Aerospace Domain
Decent extracurriculars - Founder of an NGO etc.

I am keen on doing MBA from Great Lakes. But I have not yet started the application process. So just wanted to know whether it's possible for me to know the essays. Since I have appiled to ISB and some other schools abroad, I would like to see if I can complete these essays well and within time.

If anybody knows the essays and if it's fine to share, please let me know those essays or PM me those essays.

ISB is utilizing its full capacity which means it can't go beyond 560.After the completion of their next campus i.e Mohali may be by next year they would increase the nos. of intakes.

Last year the strength was 579. So not sure what would be the final intake this year. This year, with things looking rosy, I am not sure how many people would opt out of ISB. Anyways, I am not so keen on studying abroad. SO for now, just waiting for the final results though chances are very very slim. I am planning to apply to Great Lakes. My ROI calculations are purely based on my interest. I want to be in India post MBA and I think doing an MBA from India makes utmose sense as per my priorities.

One good thing with Great Lakes would be that, as per Great Lakes, people with 4 yrs of experienced bagged good salaries and that makes you a bigger fish in a smaller pond.

We are all in the same boat... lack of options to do one year MBA... IIM A, B, C and ISB makes 900 seats max.. with current competitions thats not possible... After those MBAs.. we have IIML-N, XLRI GMP (It is more experienced than IIML-N)...... And then IIM-I and Great Lakes (Stress on South Indian companies with Great Lakes placements)... so there aren't many options within India...
