From the GMP FB group, it seems that WL38 was cleared today with the person getting an email in the evening with last date of payment 21st May. This is the only information I know. :)

To know the exact details related to WL movement, I think its best to call XLRI Adcom rather than speculating. They are the ones who would have the latest information rather than anybody else.

Though I am not a senior, I am posting since you have not got a response yet. The seniors can correct me if I am wrong.

Looking at last year's thread, waitlisting had cleared till 33 as part of the first list. They also had a second list announced where the numbers in the 40's were cleared. You can check out last year's thread for more details.

In my opinion, the second list should be announced if you have waitlisters in the first list who do not accept the offer. The second list should be announced after the last date of fees payment for the folks who made it through the first list.

Puys, quick update. I have just recieved my offer letter by Blue Dart courier.

I forgot to mention that the adcom lady also told me that it is preferable that the declaration form be sent by courier and to avoid post.

Is it mandatory to pay the advance fees for mess facilities? Can we not pay these fees after checking out the mess facilities on reaching XL?
Other than mess, what other options do we have for food?

This is a good question for the seniors as I feel I did not get a good enough response.

I asked this question to adcom and the lady said that if you do not intend to cook food by yourself then you need to avail the mess facilities and you have to pay the advance now and not later on reaching XL. I felt this was a bit strict.
I did not get much of a response for other food options.

Adcom confirmed to me on phone that the entire amount can be sent in one transaction that is one DD or one online transfer.

Adcom confirmed to me that you can use the postal address mentioned in the top right hand corner of letter. Alternatively, use the same address as you did when you sent your application that is Admissions Office, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur-831001, Jharkhand, India

hi guys, am on WL33. Am able to login only during weekends. So had a query. Just now saw Anirudhs' query that first instalment is due May 4th. Have u ppl got any admission letters /mail from XL? the post office in my area is slightly irregular. So am curious.

So far candidates have only got the offers through emails only. Called up adcom today and the lady confirmed that letters will be couriered either today or tomorrow and we are expected to receive them in this week itself.

Currently, we are in midst of our end terms. Rest assured, people will definitely come to your meets, but it is little difficult to confirm now. Some people will go to their homes/joining location/vacation location. It is difficult to confirm now.

Is there any current XLRI GMP student whose hometown is in Pune itself? If yes, would it be possible to connect the Pune puys with such a student incase he/she is planning to visit home post your final exams.


I have spoken to a couple of Pune puys like me who have made it to the final list and we feel that such a meeting would help us immensely.
