Good to know people here. I am doing PGDM focussed in Oil and Gas from Institute of Petroleum Management Gandhinagar...Batch 2007-09...and will appear in UPSC 2010...after doing 1 year rock solid prepration...The thread has pulled me back to the streets of Moh Maaya...PG......I have an advice for all Managers, don't go for Management as a subject...the syllabus of Management in UPSC is very fast. You may have covered all that in your MBA but it isnt possible that you are expert in all Finance, Operations, Quants, Economics etc...It is preferrable to choose that subject for the Mains which you can also take for Prelims...My subjects are English Literaure and Public Administration...I preferred Public Administration over Sociology as it helps in G.S. paper...I believe that success is the result of choices one makes....Anyways, best of luck to everyone on this thread....Feel free to PM me for any important info required, as I stroll in PG less often....There are some important links for everyone related to UPSC...And I congratulate bdebbarma for the thread

I was little interested in the Avtar thing. When I heard about it, I recalled how it was held last year and Plumber was there campaigning for his Avtar (too stupid picture acc. to me at that time). I voted twice for Ishacool, a cute gal in her Avtar, though I too much wondered about the futility of competiting for just a picture which is even not created by you. Then, this year again, I was thinking that I wont be going to vote and shall be a neutral party. But things changed for me when I got a PM from Diablo. His words were too sure of having me in his side. I voted for him because I know it hurts when some belief breaks . I wasnt campaigning much for Diablo rather I was wondering what was the need of taking it so seriously until respected Harsharocks asked me to vote for Cymba Madam. She is a great going gal On replying that I had voted for dear Diablo he winked to vote from Shivanirani I thought for two days and then felt the attitude of Diablo too nice and I voted for him again. Then afterwards I came to see the hypocritic face of Harsharocks when he was making a hue and cry on the thread. I was annoyed to a great extent and it was Mr. Harsha only who made me an ardent follower of gang Diablo. I felt committed to get Diablo win by clear majority, though I couldn't contribute much in practical sense by fetching considerable amount of votes. I sent PMs to some of my old friends but now they were dormant and they didnt do anything All the PMs were sent before it appeared on the thread that we are not allowed to PM and they were to my known Puys only who wont mind them. I never knew the logic behind this campaigning but I devoted myself to it and it remained in my mind. I had never posted this much on any thread. No even on my beloved IPMG thread. I am a sluggish in posting. May be valuing quality more than quantity ;)

When I was going to get those two pictures scanned my Mom and Dad asked me what I am going to do and what was the purpose of it I explained it to them. They were reluctant yet didtnt avoid me from going because of my short stay of two days at home. But Dad said "Tu IPMG mein bhi Internet par tere yaar baelli, lalli challiyon ko election jitwane mein lagi rehti hogi, pata nahi padhti bhi hogi ya nahi "

I posted it with great confusion as I had never posted a picture post Some inbuilt inborn stupidity surely accounts for that.

Yesterday evening, I was writing an email to our Professor of Organization Behavior at IPMG. Today morning I recieved his reply asking me to evaluate the leadershipstyle of leader Diablo whom we were relegiously following, evaluating the factors which accounted to his eventual success. He also asked me to develop a case on the same of what happened at this virtual space having a real clash. I will be doing that shortly. My observations about Diablo is :

1. He has great leadership qualitities and he knows how to motivate people.
   
2. I will classify his leadership style as Participative and it has been seen worldwide that Participative leaders earn accolades from their followers and reap maximum.
   
3. He knows how to manage people. About some people in his camp, he knew they are real fools and brainless but with a fool there lies a greater probability of being loyal. So those people were though given nice treatment but a check on their activities was constantly managed by the Advisor Utsav.
   
4. He was totally humble before his team and he was like "I am everything just because of you".
   
5. He was giving credits for all little achievements in great measures to his teammates.
   
6. His team was focussed and it didnt allow any scope for any sort of information asymmetry by keeping in touch through Gtalk and discussing every minute information and ascertaining everyone his role.

Wishing Diablo all the best in his career I would always be glad to work under such a great leader.

First of all thanks dear Diablo, for the PM by which I could timely know the vicious scene here created by Harsharocks.

Second, seconding Monster I would also like to narrate one incident of which unlike him I havent saved chat but I could fairly remember it was Mr. Harsharocks who was campaigning for Cymba Madam. I have got nothing against her. I like her and of course it would be she whom I had gone for if it wouldnt have been that some of my friends were supporting Diablo besides his PM which came before anybody else to my Inbox.

Harsharocks was the one who asked me to vote for Cymba and when he was told that I Baawribala had already voted for Diablo, he asked me to vote from Shivanirani in favor of Cymba. He also added that shivanirani is my legal and authorized clone on PG to which I gave no answer. Now dont make excuse, as I havent talked about the simlies the meaning of what you blurbed could be different.

It is always Mr. Harsharocks who is calling me by Shivanirani on Shout Box despite of my repeatedly telling him not to do so. He remains most elated by the fact that according to him he knows a clone of mine. I never interfered between his happiness due to the fact of knowing this. Ab Mera to nature hi kuch aisa hai

I want to ignore the fact and keep shivanirani dormant and forgotten forever. But Harsharocks is that Tankrik jo khopdi lekar raat ko bhootni ko bulata hai aur fir jab bhootni aa jaati hai to BACHAO BACHAO chilla kar bhagta hai..Kyun Sahi hai naa!!!!
