Can someone please tell me, whether I should explicitly send them a letter withdrawing my admission or if I abstain from paying part B of our fees, my seat automatically gets cancelled? How much money will I lose in each case? Please let me know asap. If I have to send them a letter, it has to reach them before 26th I suppose.

Just got my call letter (2nd list) through courier. TAPMI has asked to deposit 50,000/- by 15th May 2008.

I dont think TAPMI will release their results of WL until the IIM results are out as the list will move rapidly and lot of vacancies will be created.
Let's see what decision they make

I dont think that they will wait till IIM results:boat:...Already there must some vacancies as some people have got seats in IMT-G,MDI,NM,Nitie,SP Jain,XLRI,XIMB etc...
So there must be some vacancies by now...So Tapmi will soon release the

You got a confirmation email from TAPMI without you requesting for it?
TAPMI does not send out a confirmation email on receipt of the 50K. They will send hard copy of the receipt ONLY after receiving the 2nd installment of the fees.

In my case, I requested for confirmation via email and got their reply.

I had send the 50K DD on 15th April from pune by speed post & on 19th April I got the confirmation email that they have received the DD.

so check ur mailbox or you can call them up & ask the same,I had also called them b4 checking my inbox....& they confirimed the same on the phone...

Thats great config.Hey jsut wanted to know how it looks..means colour n all...bcos few weeks back I Just checked in Croma there was one HP lptop model with 3GB RAM(forgot the model no.)....the colour available was only the copper one:splat:...I didn't like the colour...so one that you have mentioned is it availlable in black colour.....:rockon:

Just called Mrs.Jyothi Nayak at the admissions office and confirmed that they have received my DD+initial acceptance letter.

Mrs.Nayak informed me that TAPMI will not be providing a receipt for the initial payment of 50K. But, will do so only after receiving the second installment of 2,06,000/-. She also said that the receipt for the fees paid might only be provided on the day of Joining the college...i.e. 5th July.

Yeah its a long wait but IMT cannot really do anything about it. They are a part of a chain in the OBC issue and not a stand alone entity. So guys no point in cribbing bout colleges and results at this point.

Patience is the most important quality of a manager and we need to be really patient at this point.

Hopefully the results would bring cheers to all our faces.......

IIMs are expected to come out with their list(atleast the General category list) next week, add another 7 days to that and by 5-6 May we would have a very clear idea on IMT results.

Yes..the real list will be the one which will come after IIM results...so its going to be long wait...But If we talk about IMT as an institute I feel that they should have atleast given the waitlist number/ranks like MDI...so people can take decisions

U surely stand a good chance frnd.
There are many who will surely move to the better colleges. Even in their first list a lot of people would not turn up to pay the fee because they have come out late with the result that all those who have already received the offer from other colleges are yet to clarify their stand to the KJS.
Take my case i have TAPMI in hand but i am confused where to go, so i will wait till the last day of fee depositing.
