What a Day and What a way to live it....

IIFT is all set to welcome its new batch of 2012-2014...after a mundane week, the campus is expected to be sprawling with Life in a couple of days time...it was just a year ago, that the 2011-13 batch started their journey..time seemed to have passed too fast for us...But it has been fun through out...

Expecting the new batch to make the most out of the next 2 years of their lives...A new journey beckons...Life wud never be the same again....

It is difficult for me to get a work ex certificate

Will joining letter and the last month salary slip be good enough proofs for work ex for all purposes ??

or is work ex certificate a must ??

U can expect the communication through mail to reach ur end at least a couple of weeks before the course commences...

Seniors can u throw some light regarding classes..in both the campusses and what kind of profile generally it do have..and in one of the thread a senior has replied that summer inter starts after 3 months..can u please give some detail on that.
Since i quite excited to see in the IIFT campus..so like to know about the 1st day and dress code if any:)

The first day is definitely gonna be one of the days that u wud remember for the rest of ur lives...u wud be required to be in full formals (suit)...u will be having the registration and certificate verification to start with...the rest of the proceedings will be informed in due course of time...

The time table for the classes is quite flexible in nature and they may change as per the need...IIFT being a fully residential college, u might be required to stay for various academic or club related activities post normal class hours...

As far as the internship is concerned, u all will be properly guided by the placecomm and the senior batch when u join the campus...

If this question is repeated earlier, please excuse me....I searched some pages but i couldn't find the answer....

Classes might start probably from July 2nd....if this is the case, when do we need to report at the campus?...Saturday (30th June)?...I am yet to book the tickets....please let me know if any info available on this.....(this is pertaining to IIFT - D)

How was the schedule last year?

Classes generally begins on 1st July(provided if its not a Sunday)...Hostel allotment is done a day or two in advance...so u can plan ur travel accordingly...

sir, do you mean to say, we join in july(2012) and just after 4 months (oct-2012) we start sitting for our placements .....and then after 3 more months we again sit for placements?? please clarify!!

Summers for the incoming batch starts in 3-4 months time...Final placements of the senior batch would generally begin in January end(but thats tentattive and is subject to changes)...for ur batch, it would be a year later...

when does the placement season starts in IIFT Kolkata??

Placements for both the campuses are held together @ Delhi...Preparations for the Summers would begin very soon once the college commences...For us, the Summer week started on 10th October...u can expect the dates for ur batch on the similar lines as well...the Final placements generally starts on the later half of January...
