No work experience will be uncounted, be it technical or non technical. And most guys hv technical experience only prior to MBA. As you hv quite some time in hand so try working on the following areas: taking up more responsibilities, contributing to company in a meaningful way, doing certifications, participating in extra curriculars etc etc.They will help you in MBA profile building.

By certifications do you mean MBA related (CFA and the likes) or those related to the field I'll be working in my org (options are very less as it is a niche field).

I had explained my situation before, but I need some more clarification. :(
Right now I'm 25 with just 1 year work ex at an MNC. Will be joining a central govt org (nuclear) as scientific officer next month. They have a 2.5 lac bond for 4 years. By the time I complete 4 years there, I'll be 29 with 1 year IT exp and 4 year core technical exp.

What should I do?
Work there for 1, 2 or 3 years, get admission in a good college, break the bond and join?
Or complete 4 years and do executive MBA? If exec MBA, will the technical work ex be of any use and what are the fields I can pursue?

I'm a pass-out of 2009, with 1 year of work ex in an MNC. Switched jobs and resigned as I couldn't cope up with the work culture in the last company (stupid decision). Was out of job for almost 1.5 years during which I worked as faculty at a coaching institute.

Recently I got selected in a reputed central govt organization. This job is very good in terms of job security, peace of mind etc. They have townships and a very good work culture. The problem is that my mind is hell bent on getting MBA from an IIM.

This is my query:
Should I prepare for CAT 2012? What would be the chances of converting an IIM call and how serious would the gap be? Also, this org has a bond of 2 lacs for 4 years.
Getting a good percentile is not an issue. Have secured %iles of 99 and 98 in past CATs. A good frame of mind on the day of the exam is all I need.

I've made too many mistakes in the last 2 years that I hesitate before taking any decision. Don't want to waste the rest of the year trying to get a good percentile only to be disappointed later. Please give your opinion. Thanks.

all time low...3 consecutive dismal performances (2 AIMCATs and 1 PROC)
started with 98.15 this season but have only moved down ever since..time for some serious contemplation.

I don't know if i will be able to match my 98.15 in CAT and 99.1 in XAT 11(forget about doing better)...no mocks for next 10-15 days..experienced puys -suggestions for VA are welcome....really need to get out of this slump.

Understand that none of these mock scores have any influence on your CAT score. You may never get >80+ in mocks, but CAT %ile may be 98+. The reverse may also happen and both are common.
So, don't bother about your mock scores. Practice as much as possible so that speed and accuracy improves.

what is the rate of interest % p.a?
A) S.I earned p.a is 5300.
B) difference between the C.I and S.I on the amt. is 1060 at the end of 2yrs.

i solved it but answer not matching with the book...thts y conforming

a)P*1*R=5300 Not sufficient
b) CI-SI for two years= P = 1060 Not sufficient

a) and b) together: Two variables, two equations => sufficient

My sister who's working in SBI told me that there won't be any significant recruitment process for IBPS PO II. She says all banks have filled their vacancies from the previous IBPS exam and hence the result of the coming exam will be useful only next year because of its 1 year validity.

Is this true? Please reply.
