For us in 2009, all the GD topics were very generic & simple..Example
1) Should Mobile Phones be Banned in Colleges
2) Technology is making human life miserable etc..
Probably latest batches can update you all on some more recent topics.
& yes, SBI juhu branch/HDFC Juhu situated just opposite NM have special packages for Students selected @ NMIMS..ATB!

Integration should be taken seriously.
You will be taught to deal with cases by some extremely good faculties.Also, there will be some role-plays,movies and ice-breaking sessions.It's gonna be fun n u will enjoi it 4 sure..
U will also be given some basics on stats and excel calculations which are important for 2nd n 3rd trimesters...

I wonder how a B-School like SIBM bangalore is ranked ahead colleges like TAPMI and IIT Chennai..This itself poimts out to flaws in methodology of ranking...or else..welll ehem ehem...

I need your help to clear my doubts regarding Nmims admissions. I have got the GD/PI call and I know that I am not among the top 1500. But I have a very good extra curri and apart from that good acads too. I have 2 yrs of Work Ex and I would still try my best to give the best of me in GD/PI.

But, with this NMAT performance, is it anyway possible to get a final admission? From what I heard,till last year, very high weightage had been given to NMAT score. So, pls advise me for this.

yes.Nmat score weightage was quite high till last year.But u never know wats the break up this year.& as i told some1 earlier, there r ppl in our senior batch who have jumped from 19xx to 300's after gd-pi..so relax n prepare.

small doubt...do we have to send d SOP with d DD or get it at d time of d gd??

n dis wud be d first time i'd be writing an SOP...need help...

get it for the gd...no need to send with dd..that was the case with us,,confirm anyway

Do we need to send a hand-written SOP or we need to type it in the WORD,take a print out and then send?
Also, do we need to get the score card attested?
pls reply fast.

as far as sop is concerned, get it typed..that looks good..score card- we didnt need to get it attested..in ur case i have no clue..contact the concerned dept.

There have been cases of ppl scoring >25/30 in gd/pi/work ex during our year and thus jumping from a 16xx after written to 3xx final ranks...
