The seniors might not be in a position to answer this query, since they wudnt have been involved in this OBC discussions. Also, I presume IIT-M has already made it VERY clear that those selected initially in General Category have NOT been moved to the OBC category. So why all this hue and cry... I dont understand!!

Please remain calm and as loadstone has said, expect the results to be delayed...

Is it getting delayed due to IIM results...Please keep us inofrmed so that atleast it'll help reduce the tension levels

@madhuThats a coincidence. Because, I sent my DD on 15th. But, the admissions office told me that the DD has not reached. I called up the accounts office and they acknowledged that the DD has reached. Probably, you can do the same thing.

I had sent mine on 16th and the speed post says the article has been bagged. But I havent got any email from the institute as such til now...

Can u pls gimme the fone no of the accounts office so that I can ask them reg that...

Please go ahead and send your DDs by today if the confirmation doesnt come up . If any more docs are required , they can be sent later.

There have been queries about bringin vehicles , as per the insti rules vehicles are not permitted .
Admission mail / Letter ( snail mail ) will have all more relevant detail about rules and regulations including course start date and et all .

Send the DD of 35k drawn in favour of "S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai" to the following address:
The Registrar,
S.P.Jain Institute of Management & Research,
Munshi Nagar, Dadabhai Road, Andheri West,
Mumbai - 400 058, India.
Also mark on top of the envelope...

"Communication of Acceptance of Admission"

Send the same thru SPEEDPOST...as it is generally safer and faster thn couriers/regd post !!

the website tels us to take the DD in favor of "S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research", Mumbai... Since "Mumbai" was not given within the quotes, i would like to knw shud be include "Mumbai" while filling the 'in favour of' name or the DD shud jus be payable at Mumbai and its not required to mention "Mumbai" while filling 'in favour of'...

It ofcourse is under the AICTE guidelines buddy..

If u hv ever bukd a railway ticket and then cancelled it, wudnt yu hv reservation charges forfeited. Somewhat akin to it :-)

The fee last yr was 2 lacs...and it includes 35k as acceptance...the same will be offset against the first yr fee...we wer reqd to pay the remainin 1.65 lacs by abt a months time or so...in case sm1 dint join, 1.65 lacs was returned !!!

But I thought that the AICTE rule indicates that the Institute has to return all money deposited minus max of 1000 bucks as processing fees...

Am I missing something here??

to add salt to wound, i had resigned a week back from my company... and now this quota thing has brought all my hopes crashing down!!

dunno wat to make of it... NITIE wud obviously have to make way for reservations, but would they really snatch away our seats???
