actually as far as i concern.....

Administrator manages different type of managers.
manager takes care of perticular domain.
Both r subset of each other.
But Admin is above Manager nd hv more n more power

An administrator has more and more power if you are an Administrator in STATE CIVIL SERVICES OR INDIAN ADMINSTRATIVE SERVICES.

In banks or Insurance companies, the word POWER is illusionary.

There had been a lot of debates regarding PO vs AAO here on this forum. I would just say now a days people are more growth oriented and they want promotions at a speed of light. I dont know much about AAO but i know this much that u get ur first promotion after 8-10 years. And guess what u can rise upto the level of a Chief Manager in a bank in that period and a Chief Manager, being a SMG Scale 4 Officer, has obviously more say, more power & gets more emoluments in the organisation.

arjun bhai...i hav 176 marks in general category...i hav got a call from Union PO whose cutoff in genral category z 166..and thr r 1241 gen categry seats..they hav called general candids in d ratio 1:3

so..aap calculation kar lo ab...abt ur frnds chances...mujhe to 176 pe bi PNB call pe doubt ho ra..unless unki grad me 60% wale condition ke karan upar ke kuch log retired hurt ho jayein..to hi kuch chance hai..

Fir to mushkil lagte chances. Bhai ye 176 kitne me se hain? i mean what were the total marks? Out of 300??

Anyways guys m not aware about the cutoffs and all this time but just want to ask a frnd of mine has got a score of 170 -gen. What are the chances of making it into PNB?

Hello people! I am back again after a long time! PNB MT vacancies are out!
Gear up for the interviews. For the first time PNB has come up with 775 vacancies.

I have seen a few pages back, that people are comparing various banks with PNB. All banks are equally good people.
The only edge u get if you join PNB is that they provide u a rigorous training for thirty weeks and make u equipped with everything before u can actually face the real battle out there in the branches. I would call it a battle because of the huge rush of the customers at PNB (PSU's) branches.

And as far as the postings are concerned, discussing here about postings is a futile exercise. The HO will assign the postings and nobody knows till the very last moment where he or she is going to be posted. BTW if you really wanna rise in banking and reach upto the level of DGM, GM, ED etc, then u have to leave this fear of postings behind cuz u just pick up the profile of any famous ED or CMD and see where he has served the bank. And to be an all rounder, u need to work in various parts of the country, across various branches of the bank.

All u can do is just pray that u get a good branch. Cuz even if u get a home posting and u dont get a good branch, people will make ur life hell, u would start cursing yourself for joining a PSU. I have myself seen this scene.
