I haven't really contribute much to the forum till now, but I have been a silent observer reading the discussions and taking relevant info and guidance from experts. I have been through most of what you guys are likely to go through. From a GMAT of 650 I got 760 in my second attempt. Believe me i have no idea how i did that. I have been working with McKinsey Knowledge Centre for the past 5 years. I thought I needed a stronger profile to apply to the top schools, but I was keen on taking a chance at least. Applied to Duke, Chicago Booth, Kellogg and ISB. Now I so wish I had applied to Harvard & Wharton as well. . . Nevertheless, I got calls from Kellogg and ISB and was able to convert Kellogg. Ya, Very HAPPY indeed! and I quit my job to just relax now and prepare for my departure.

But I thought I could also use my free time to help some people, just in case this entire experience has taught me something. Of course I have a good lot of online material and am sure everyone does. But the most important part is to know which one to study and which one to not study. I think my journey from 650 to 760 taught me that. And the application process is not so easy either. But I got good help from people around me. So perhaps I can share my experience on that as well. So just in case you guys have any specific questions, you may ask me here or mail me, pm me, wotever. . and if you need any specific online material, i would be happy to share that as well. I think i have a lot of them, but i hope i have wot u want. I have always enjoyed helping people and I would love to help out as many puys as possible before I fly off. All the best to you all!

As per Cat IIM website the lab New Delhi Delhi School of Professional Studies and ResearchIILX4 was supposed to be shut down for repairs but one of my friends went to the centre and was able to take the CAT. This is not rumor but a confirmed news.
I am bemused at the fact that when the labs are closed why are centre people allowing candidates to take the paper.

For you, as I do not exactly know what was it that you were doing wrong, I would suggest you go through the solutions properly when you get them but before that, try to solve those questions the way you did in the paper (if you have the scratch sheet that you used, keep it preserved) and then see where you went wrong and then remember that mistake.

Also, I would suggest, if you have the scratch sheets, have a look at what you have done, you will probably be able to find out the mistake. I don't exactly remember the questions, so probably can't help you with them at the moment.

If you could tell me your previous scores in proc mocks 3 and 4 and where exactly you scored in the DI section, could probably be of better help.

However, the best thing at the moment would be to find out what kind of DI sets are you more comfortable with. Although, you should be a pessimist and not expect those types to appear in CAT'09 and hence try to learn solving the other sets also. While doing this, remember not to neglect your strength areas and then once you are able to solve the other types, pick up random sets without looking at them before choosing them and solve them.

In general, if you are facing a lot of problems in DI, I would suggest you solve atleast 2 sets of different types everyday. I would say there are 6 categories of DI sets, hope you can divide them for yourself in a better way. So make sure you do not solve the same type of set on consecutive days.

I am pretty disheartened with my performances in Mocks. On regular basis I have been clearing English cut off Di sometime and sometimes not but i am not even close to clearing the quant cutoff . Same happened with me in Proc mock 5 .Even though i skimmed thru the paper for searching the ques i cud attempt but still got many negatives. My scores are as

DI 8
