On a more serious note, any inside news as to when the scorecard might be made accessible. And also another silly query. Going by the previous years' trends , 65% weightage is for written test, so do the candidates who just managed the cutoff really have a chance? Would there be any firends in your batch who might have ben borderline on the cutoff and yet made it ?

yes, there are guys who had low written score and still made it(even to Delhi campus). focus on further process. prepare well.

Regarding the no of seats, whatever they say on the site or on forums, the no of seats is very unlikely to go up. It will remain at 150 for Delhi and 60 for Kolkata.
Concentrate on other exams at the moment(XAT/SNAP). the gd/pi would start in the last week of jan(30th jan last year). join a coaching class after your exams and prepare for IIFT specific GD(one hour GD). Essay writing being an important part. In PI- foreign trade and international business will be the focus, though it depends on your day and luck and the mood of the interviewer. Visit previous experiences thread on PG. you will get a general idea about the IIFT process. practice a lot, mock GDs and PIs are essential for your prep.
the weightage last year was: 65% IIFT score, 10% essay, 10% GD and 15% PI. can't say if it would be the same for this year too.

there wasn't any sectional cut offs last year. you need non negative score in all the sections. results would be out pretty soon. they normally take 3 weeks. last year it was out on 20th dec. ATB to all. focus on other exams.

going with what happened last year, I don't think there would be any sectional cut offs. last year too it wasn't mentioned in the instructions. also individual cut offs in 6 sections seems to a distant possibility.
Based on my analysis over all cut off can touch 38-39(if not 40). focus on other exams. hope to see you guys in IIFT next year.
