Hey guys I have a query regarding IRMA
1)as a college : What exactly is IRMA famous for is it only rural management and what exactly is rural management???
2)about the course offered : I could see only the one in Rural mgmt as their flagship
3) and about the profiles : what sort of profiles does one get after IRMA is it normally in rural areas I am
the site says mostly rural n NGs n stuff

SHould one looking out for a marketing profile apply to IRMA
and is this IRMA rural course oo par with courses n offered by other colleges like IMI IMT MDI ???

we can't compare IRMA with other B schools as we would be dealing in different arena over here. Here our orientation would be towards people rather than corporate's and we will be having a 7-8 month onsite work which is different and not comparable to any other institute. If we look at the opportunities there are lot of areas like banking, co-operatives, agribusiness, rural development organisations etc.

to add few more words, continue with your cat/xat preparation that is quite enough for IRMA, only think that makes different is ISC section which one need to be updated with ongoing govt. schemes,economic policies etc

Can you please tell me whether any international NGOs will come for placement to IRMA if so what are the organizations and what are the designations they are offering.................

Oh these seem to be names of school from the welcom kit , yes that she received, but how is it possible that there are only two schools, there seem to be many more from what they say and if they are recruiting 300 all over india and placing them in mumbai, pune and delhi then surely each city would have around 100 fellows so surely it cant be just 2 schools in Mumbai?

I am a newbie out here!

I hope someone can help me. My sister has applied for TFI and she would like mumbai to be her location . Since she lives in Vasai would anyone know where the schools are in Mumbai, would she have a lot of travelling to do?? Do they ususally place you in schools near to where you live, if so does anyone know which schools around Vasai are they placing fellows in??

Sorry for bombarding you guys with so many questions but I would really like her to take up this fellowship!

If your sis got selected for TFI then they will be sending a mail to your sis along with a document which contains information about the schools associated with TFI. Ask her to check the document.

yes ankit IRMA has a deferred course policy. For more details you can mail to admis@irma.ac.in

I got reply from Mr. Janak...deferred admission is possible which depends on our reason becozz of which we couldn't join the current batch.
