The previous batch guys are just a medium to clear out our conclusive doubts.Any matter that is uncertain would not be answered "clearly" as they themselves cannot afford to misguide or or provide you with information based on rumors and hearsay.Waitlists are often forgotten and vacant seats filled accordingly.

I guess your name is in early 20s... Relax .. things should be in your favour (this is again an uncertain answer but i hope you understand)
