we know a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)

now

(3^512)^2 - 1^2 = (3^512 + 1)(3^512-1)

similarly break down the power of 512 further ....after repeated application of the formula we end up with

(3^512+1)(3^256+1)(3^128+1)(3^64+1)(3^32+1)(3^16+1)(3^8+1)(3^4+1)(3^2+1)(3^1+1)(3^1-1)


each term only has single power of 2...except ( 3^1+1 ) and (3^1 - 1)

for 3^1+1 = 4 = 2^2
3^1-1 = 2

now 9 + 2 + 1 =12 answer

Satisfied with the score as of now as it is balanced and doesnt seem that bad.
VA always scares me and when I score decent in VA my OA shoots up. Luckily it happened here. QA was quite good. Moderate with calculation intensive DI. Those who are writing CAT for the first time should look upon CL mocks as they are as close as one could be.


I guess CL people have given away the feature of downloading the mocks to stop sharing of mocks. TIME people might also follow the lead.
