Does this waitlist mean that I am waitlisted only for IMT G and will not be considered for IMT N??

Regarding your query, since you have a percentile greater than 95, you will not be considered for Nagpur.

I hv received the provisional offer letter asking to pay the initial amt before 16th april.
By when do v get the final offer letter giving details abt the joining date, total fees etc.?
Because I need to give a notice of 1month before quitting my job.

Also will v get some conformation as to whether the DD has been received?

It is their flagship course. It has been running since the college became operational.
Marketing has always been good at IMT, which is being offered as a major specialisation through the FT course.

If you are basing your preferences on just the placement figures, then there are a lot of factors which has made finance score higher. Like the FT batch has more students and more freshers in terms of %age as well. So the average package offered to them naturally brings the average down.

though my first preference was PFDM(FT). which i hv eventually converted...but now i want PGDM(FT), which was my second pref.
can i change it now??

Regarding the question whether one can change from FT to Finance.
I had a chat with one of the profs at IMT.
He was of the opinion that is very much possible, since FT is the more prefered course. Lot of ppl down the ranks would be willing to take it.
Also many students will be switching their affiliations once IIMs come out with their results.

Also, there is a decent enough chances to switch major specialisation after I year as well. That of course depends on the number of students on both side willing for the switch and the credits/grades they have.

But that being said, Finance is much tougher than it appears. Most of the students are not even aware of what is being tought in there. Knowing just the course names is not enough.
Even if you take it as a minor specialisation, it gives you a good exposure to Finance and the right candidate should not have a problem in getting a Finance profile in final placement.
Ask any MBA grad, they'll tell you how their finance counterparts are always slogging in the II year as well.(In I year everyone has to do the slogging )

Rest, of course, is upto the individual and his/her choices.

i have been selected for PGDM(fin) IMT-G.i have one query do we have dual course concept in IMT-G..is it possible to have finance my major and take any other course as minor.
seniors plz throw some light on my query or if anyone have knowledge about this plz give me the proper details abt this.

First of all... Don't spam Dude!

Yes, It is possible to have a minor specialisation at IMT-G.

Here is how it goes in the II year:
9 subjects: your major specialisation
6 subjects: your minor specialisation
3 subjects: from a stream other than major and minor specialisation.

Slight change of plan guys! Got thru in IMT-G, so won't be coming to GL.

Has the college published another waitlist? I guess they might be publishing one after 10th April.
I hope more ppl get a chance to be a part of GL on seats left vacant by ppl like myself.
