I had called up the HR helpdesk guyz and they told me that the package would be 4.5+. The final offer letters are released by the ICICI Bank once the training and the probabtionary period is over so considering the rise of food products, oil, petro prices and what not......lets hope they do actually offer us something near about 5 lac.......I meta guy who also works in ICICI as a AM - 1, he told me that when he joined last year his package was more than 6 lacs but he was recruited directly from campus, he is an M.B.A......

no AM-1 gets a package of 6 lac (on campus or off campus) ....AM-2 recruited by icici have a salary of 6.5 lpa.... m one of the MBA's recruited by ICICI ....

I think u missed out a very important point in my post...before i strtd mentioning anything about IMT-G or the other college i wrote that "since u r the one who decides the worth of college only based on cut off and percentiles (and placements)" ....and then i went on an on....so my thoughts are not amorphous...i have put up things which by going acoording to ur mindset, one would put up

dude,i agree with most of what you wrote,but as far as comparison of SCMHRD with IMT is concerned...i would only say they aren't in the same league.period

placements aren't everything and you shouldn't comment about DCP placement wise as a single batch is yet to be placed....

placements at NMIMS/SIBM/XIMB are comparable,if not better ,than say IIM S

but you would be hard-pressed to find someone who would leave shillong for the above ,mentioned colleges (even IMT ,for that matter)

peer learning is more important than placements and that's why scmhrd is not in the same league as IMT (including the DCP program) as the difference in student quality is huge...

people with 80% in cat get through to scmhrd and a few into sibm -p as well .I am not insinuating that they are inferior ,some might have had an off day,but by and large student quality at imt (dcp cut off-93% and pgdm cut off-94% ) is better than SCMHRD.

its just my personal opinion and i believe scmhrd is a good college and people for whom placements is the paramount criteria should definitely go for scmhrd over at IMT as the average placements are undoubtedly better given the smaller batch size at SCMHRD and hence they can afford to have some sort of floor salary which IMT can't thereby pushing its avg ctc much lower than what is should be (avg CTC for top 55 percentile of the batch was 9.55 which is pretty good)

But again there are many examples like that,NMIMS has a a better placement record than NITIE but again very very few would leave nitie for narsee...

Thank you rishi ....n this is seriously a heartfelt thanks because finally someone puts accross his points in an unbiased manner... Okay, i would just like to state here that i compared placements of SCMHRD and IMT-G because my friend here (as i already have mentioned in the post) has been terming the college good or bad only based on cut offs and placements...which is actually not true...there is more to b school (industry interaction,alumni,o.a development etc etc).
Secondly, I am not from SCMHRD , be rest assured,and believe me an 80%iler may make it to HRD.... but on the other hand even guys with IIM converts make it to the college...and quality of the student is not determined only by the %ile he scored in CAT.... There is a lot more it again (just my 2 cents)....
The point which i always wanted to make is nobody profeesional enough would come up saying things like "if u dont join imt you will lose and blah blah... U tell me from ur own experience, have you ever seen anyone from even a decent b-school saying things like that (be honest)....and as i said people here are smart enough...93-98%ilers haaan....so they are smart enough to decide abput their future

stop writing in caps. companies have preferences in profiles but all pgdm courses are treated equally. The idea of companies is to get the best students who can perform.

WHere can you find this? PGPM-ABM and PGPM in iim-a or PGDCM and PGDM in IIM-C. there are companies which prefer one over other like ITC give more for pgp-abm (although its a nicher course and not "flagship" as seen by many of you - but ofcourse any pgdm form the same school, same intake criteria is always under the same flagship) then pgpm in iim-a, where as in iim-c, pgdcm and pgdm have almost same companies and profiles.


Refund policy exactly same as any other IMT-G program. You can get refund before classes commence. after that there will be some amount of deduction. Use your CAT CUT-OFF common sense and ask yourself why should the refund policy be any different?

Also, people here opting for some b-Schools make me laugh head over heels. Seriously think twice before ruining your life in some unknown b-school that only your state knows about for christ sake. This is MBA. I wish i could tell you all the developments going around but not everything can be said openly here right now.Even if you get a median package you will earn those extra 5 lakhs in 6 months after you get a job. But the tag will remain with you for life.

Most of you seem to have no experience in this field, please go to naukri.com or jobstreet.com or monster.com and search for job listings and college names attached. you will see a very simple line stating iims,fms,xlri,imt,mdi - top 15 b-schools thats it. If you don't have it from there, you dont get to apply. Now these are things that i am not suppose to state outside like this.


If you aren't joining IMT-G this year you will lose a lot. You can take my word for it or wait for some time and see for it yourself.

lol....i dunno why are u so aggressively marketing your own college....The ones who are here are smart enough to crack CAT and hence are smart enough to make their own decisions...you are nobody to tell them "u will lose a lot" stuff (thats outrightly cheap)... secondly , please do not poke in imt (n esp. IMT DCP)amidst IIM's, MDI, XLRI or FMS...since u r the one who decides the worth of college only based on cut off and percentiles , IMT-G (esp. DCP) doesnot stand anywhere in terms of placements and cut off's when compared to IIM's and the likes.People would still take u "somewhat" seriously if u wud have compare your PGDM course to SCMHRD (which has placement stats much much better than your flagship course ...as per the websites of both the colleges)... I hv never had any personal grudge against IMT or its DCP but seeing posts like these from the students of DCP is something which nobody from a good b-school would think of doing.

Is there any difference between fist phase (Feb 3 - Feb 5) and second phase (Feb 10 - Feb 12)...........I mean priority wise........bcoz aspirants have been allotted date according to their snap score ........i have my ge/pi slot on 4feb ,,,,,,,,,,,,want to change it to 10 Feb............Will it b disadvantageous??...........Please reply asap??

No there is no disadvantage if you appear for your GE/PI at a later date. All are given the same preference.
