thekingcobra @v_guha i agree wit u buddy.there isnt any standardisation of marks in india across boards of different states. for example i completed my 10th boards from kerala n secured more than 90% which is decent enuf. but i did my 12th n graduation from orissa where securing 80% is difficult. I didnt know this while i was in my 12th. now i see tht whenever i face an interview the first question is face is "why has there been a significant dip in ur scores 4 the past 6 years?". now wat do i reply them. getting 75% in 12th was diificult at tht time but is tht a suitable explanation? the other issue is the level of difficulty of a particular paper in a certain year. for example i completed 12th in 2008. tht year the pass mark for mathematics was 11. since around 25 marks were out of syllabus and the paper was damn hard. more than 90% students in the state had failed in maths. so it was decided tht anyone who scores more than 11 wud be passed. isnt it ridiculous? instead they cud hv given grace marks of 25 to every student which wud hv helped improve their overall percentage as well. so while i scored 99 in maths in 10th, i cud only score a 52 in 12th. now how wud i justify this in any interview if asked??
