Answer to Question 10
A is the best choice. Choices B, C, and D incorrectly omit that after agree; that is needed to create the parallel construction agree that there is waste . . . and that the government... spends. Choice E, though it retains
that, is grammatically incorrect: because E starts with an independent rather than a subordinate clause and separates its two independent clauses with a comma, it creates a run-on sentence with no logical connection
established between the halves. In B, the agreement ... to the fact is unidiomatic, and B, C, and E alter the sense of the original sentence by saying that voters agree rather than that they may agree.

And heres the explanation given for the correct answer to this.

Answer to Question 11
In choice A, the introductory clause beginning Based on modifies scholars, the noun that immediately follows it: in other words, A says that scholars were based on the accounts of various ancient writers. Choice B is awkward and imprecise in that the referent for the pronoun it is not immediately clear. C and D are also wordy and awkward, and in D By the accounts... they used is an unidiomatic and roundabout way of saying that scholars used me accounts. E, the best choice, is clear and concise; it correctly uses a present participle (or "-ing" verb) to introduce the modifier describing how the scholars worked.

Hi,
What is the criteria for most of the good universities, for accepting GMAT score. Do they all take the higher score or the average. I more specifically need information of 10-15 ranked schools.

Actually, I have to play gamble for a good school, for which I have to give GMAT next week (date constraint), and I know that I will not score well in that. And thus I might take it again for a higher score.
I will like to go on with giving GMAT asap if most of the schools accept highest score (as ISB does).

I just gave the Diagnostics of Kaplan and the scores were as follows.
660 (94 Percentile)
Maths
Correct 24
Incorrect 2
Not Reached 0
Scaled Score 46

Verbal
Correct 18
Incorrect 10
Not Reached 0
Scaled Score 36

For the Verbal Section, I got around 70% questions correct in SC, while 60% in CR and 55% in RC.

Where shall I place on the actual GMAT?
How shall I look forward to improve my Verbal Sections. (I have already done Manhattan, OG10)

I agree to Jackofalltrades, the you must concentrate on all the sections, dont be in a hurry to give tests, rather save them for the last few weeks.

Anyways, the best test is the GMATprep as provided by the mba.com.
It is the best evaluator and the level of questions is quiet near to the real GMAT. Further, you can use Princeton, 800score and barrons' tests.

I have few paper tests (soft copy, original GMAC) and also some sectional tests. PM me your mail ID and I will try to send these tests to you. In all I can send you 9 Full GMAC tests and 5 Va and 5 QA tests.

Also try to google for tests and you will find many tests on net. This is how I got all these tests.

Due to some unavoidable circumstances, I attempted the two sections of the PR Test-4 separately(as in I had to restart the test for verbal section). ??:
I scored 440 in quant and 300 in verbal...
Now to calculate the total score, can I add the two figures or thinking that is stupid....
If yes, a score of 740 in PR test-4, how is it? What are the average scores in PR tests... :
