Logging into PG after almost 2 years. After 2 years of struggle, I had almost left any hope of doing an MBA. But now, I am charged again and planning to appear for GMAT this year. I have shortlisted Mannheim to apply for. Currently I am in Germany for almost 2 years now. Have a work ex of 6.5 years. Learning German as well.
Just wanted to check with you guys, which tracks are you chosing and also have you checked anything regaring the scholarship? I will anyways apply for next year as the admission there is on a rolling basis and I am yet to appear fot GMAT.

Ive created a small app to help in vocab-building. Its called VocabSensei.

What it does is, it reads from an Excel-based wordlist and throws up words (along with their meanings and usages) at regular intervals (specified by you). It runs as a background process and can be accessed from its icon in the system tray.

To run it, just extract the Excel doc and the application into the same folder and run the app.

A lot of credit for this app goes to harish.bhere's IndiVocab, another similar effort. You should check that out, as well. It didn't work for me, so I decided to write my own app. Even the wordlist used has been taken from his Excel sheet.

You can use your own Excel based wordlists or add words in the current doc as well. Just ensure that the data is in the same format as the wordlist provided and that the doc is named WordList.xls.

I do not think that this year CAT will provide us the score details. They may only provide the percentiles and leave people wondering for the same.

Hi Puys got 82.64 % in GReat and 33 Months Work Ex with 85 % Acads and Good Extra Cur. No Calls. Yet the the Commitment by "DP" and the ADCom guys are highly Commmendable. Guys u r true Professionals..

i did not get a call at 86.41 percentile with 58 months work ex till March 2010. 70-75% in X, XII and BE and load of extracurricular...

I have already left hope for an MBA this year. Ab to GMAT likhoonga aur koi aur raasta dekhoonga kyunki bahut kathin hai dagar IIM ki.

3rd time in a row, didn't get a call.
Applied for Marketing. Total Exp: 4.7 yrs 3 months in an NGO and 4.4 yrs in IT
Lots of extracurricular, but grads are not so good.
X: 74 (ICSE)
XII: 66 (Bihar Board)
BE: 71 (VTU, Karnataka)
For sure, am not gonna apply to SP Jain anymore. Coz i can't go back to class XII and give exam once more to correct the score.

What has been the number of offers per student for ealier placement seasons. I got to know that if you are placed then you cannot sit for other company. Is this true?
Also, i couldn't find out the mandatory disclosure on the website. Is it that only AICTE approved programs should display the mandatory disclosure?

I think people who have chosen Hyd or Kolkata as their gd/pi center and cat score or great score has to appear for gd/pi somewhere else, probably at their 2nd choice location. will we be having flexibility to change our dates as we will have to travel to another city.
