i believe v r in the same boat..

well..i m an army officer,6yr diverse exp,in pune..luking for isb in second cycle...G-day is on 18th oct..

preperation level...not so gud...

P.S - very comfortable

D.S- comfortablebut make mistakes, sometimes blunders

S.C- very comfortable in fact high accuracy level...

CR- average/below average

RC- avegare/below average...

for u...for ur SC...i suggest u to go thru "Manhattan SC- must and must", understand thoroughly abt all explanations of OG11, OG verbal...and also of Kaplan 800..
try and solve "wren n martins" english grammer book with full understandings and...all all those concepts in day to day events, activitiese. eg see how a sentence is framed in the newspaper or magzines....it will help u

write as many mocks as u can or solve the questions on the screen...sometimes pace urself with time....that will give u fair idea about how and where do u commit silli mistakes...note down those siliest mistakes and revise time to time..match ur explanations with the given one(even if ur explanation is correct).....note down few imp concepts or exceptions to revise ...

For me, if u can help me in CR and RC...i would be thankful..specially with the silent techniques/rules/few experiences to eliminate the answers etc..

i had the similar prob while taking the prep test..i did well in prep 1 then comparatively very well in Kaplan mock ..but 2nd prep Mock..i just culdnot do well.....becoz of this inconsistency, i preferred to postpone the G-day...not its on 18th oct.....i have identified my week areas as RC and CR...i have as on date only 20 days full time preperation.....(i m an army officer, 6yrs ex, diverse exposure, after long stint in kashmir now in pune etc etc...army doesnt give me too much of time)....so now concentrating on these areas....i m open to all sort of discussions for RC and CR and for other secs as well......


can u tell me ur split in all the mocks u took...luking fwd for ur reply

1. I have rescheduled my G-day from 9th sept to 18th oct.not new G-day is 18th oct...

2. This change was due to my lacking performence in RC and CR ..i took GMAT prep...ended with 55O and 600...both failure in RC And CR (gmatprep v-27 only)... as it was just a prep for nearly 15-17 days.....

got kaplan 800 the day u suggested me...i was trying for it for long time....it was not available..fortunately i got that...finished all quant from it, SC aand CR also....quant was ok....Sc was tougher than other books...CR just cudnot grasp more than 20-30%

RC is left out...still CR sems to be the area of concern

pls suggest me few more tricks to improve in these areas...as my time is running out..G day is 9th sept

me trying my luck on 9th....not getting good accuracy in CR and RC.....suggest a few clicking tips other than those mentioned in the recommended books....

i have nearly 6yrs exp in army, basically from dbg
