Avinash and Fellow GIMians,

I have converted LIBA and I hail from chennai. My other converts are TAPMI, IFMR and FORE, apart from GIM.

My preference is to join GIM as i have heard a lot about it and the brand name.
Now I am really in a fix as to join either LIBA or GIM. Though GIM is ranked more than LIBA, the following are the points which makes me think of considering LIBA,

- location : Chennai (5 kms from my house)
- Fees (around 6lks)
- avg package around 7.5 lakhs (lesser than GIM by a few thousands)
- get to save on hostel and other charges as i would be staying at home.
- the number of seats is 120 in LIBA.

If i am in GIM, i would be shelling out somewhere around 13 lakhs for my course (includes my other expenses for 2 yrs).

I am still not aware of the companies or the profiles offered to the candidates in GIM. I would like to get into Auto sector or an FMCG sector as i am thinking of Marketing. As i am mechanical Eng. from an IT oragnisation, I dont want to get back to IT sector.

I have spoken to a lot of students and alumni of LIBA personally and i am unable to get in touch with an alumni of GIM.

It would be helpful, if i come to know the companies that are visiting GIM from the above mentioned sectors for marketing profile.

I am not comparing the colleges, i need an honest perspective of what you guys think would be best for me. As i reiterate again, that GIM has its own brand name.

It would be more than sufficient and helpful, if i can talk to some of you GIMians over phone.

Hi Seniors,

I had deleted all my spam mails this morning, then I came to know that result has been announced. There has to be some way to confirm if I am in the first list or not before the waitlist movement starts. Help, Help, Help.......

Hi Puys,

I just now made a call to the admissions office, they said that 240 mails have been sent out and it is the list of people who have converted as of now.

The wait list will be out by next week.
