See 1st of all Icfai is very much popular for finance thats primarily for the reason that it started off with its CFA course in the year 1987, so from there on it is known for Finance....
Other reason being a huge talent in the form of CA's, CS and B.Com from reputed coll come to Icfai which adds the flavour to the finance stream.
From the profile point of view, there are various types of profiles that you can get into depending upon the company and industry you are going into like Financial Analysis (most popular), Equity research analyst, Business Analyst, Risk management, Principal banker, wealth management etc.
and regarding MS-Finance i cannot generalize anything here weather it is good or bad....

plz do not waste alot of time in making the presentation coz
weightage of "what you speak" is going to be very minimal 10-20%
what matters is "How you speak" and how you present your topic"....so concentrate more on the presentation part..

guys well we all know that icfai hyd, gurgoan, mumbai is good college. but my question is i would be selecting system specalization. and can anyone answer my queries about placement in system. is 7 lac worth to invest in icfai for system specilazation. because what i heard that finance is better in it.

usually very few students opt for systems as their major here....most of the comp. engg. generally take systems, but as their minor....for systems tcs,patni and other s/w firms came for the final placement....so the scene is ok....though not that gr8...it depends wat u expect out of it....
but if u have good exp. in IT Firm and gonna take finance also then nothing like it....

I agree with u aditi.... We must concentrate on MICRO PRESENTATIONS as they count in our total score and are IMPORTANT...
Im thinkin on choosing either a topic from current affairs or future of BPO/KPO or emotional inteligence. and wtf... these are on OHP..i dont even know how to operate one... would we be given help ? and such a RICH expensive univ doesnt even have projectors.... SAD ...
GUYS plz write in abt the presentation's, topics chosen by us (or thinking of) and ur views.....
