The Mican....what you just said about your friend getting the confirmation letter...well...that has happened to me as well...am also through to Mica...apparantly an international applicant
through the Gmat dropped out so I am in....or thats what i believe happened....

Explain this whole "international applicant" thing to me.Does your admission letter clearly state that you are one?

I would've thought that only NRIs and international(read intl. citizens) would qualify for the tag of "international applicant". I got in on my GMAT scores as well but I'm not looking forward to paying approx 8 lakhs instead of the (already overpriced) 6 when I have no reason to!

As for the 'discount', if I have to send 2.38 now then that's just not possible. I'll just send the 87,000 then.
Who is going to pay a DD of 2.38 lacs I wonder?
And why are they not providing a receipt or confirmation themselves? That's strange. Shouldn't they let us know officially that our admission is secure? And there has been this whole mess with the waiting list ppl. The MICA Admission process seems rather fishy/unprofessional to me.... :whatthat:

Hey Tushar! I'm in B'lore and I got my call letter today. I'm sure you'll get yours soon.

The XIMB call letter was the most informative and helpful call letter of the three I got this year. A definite plus point for XIMB....as compared to MICA.

But what really got my attention was the loan offer from SBI. I approached my local SBI abt an edu loan for MICA and had a lil communication problem with the loan officer. It was great to see that if I decide to choose XIMB; that,atleast, will not be a problem!!!

P.S: I would still appreciate any input on the MICA vs XIMB topic!!!!

Hate to break into the midst of all this MICA bashing,but I've got to ask this question
If you had a choice between MICA and XIMB(Mktng), which would you choose and why?
I've been granted admission to both schools and although my mind is pretty much made up, I still want to hear what others have to say.

(Mods, this question's on the XIMB board as well....for a fair and balanced set of responses frm the junta of both schools!!
Please lemme know if that sorta thing is frowned upon...I'll edit one of 'em immediately!)
