Its very suprising that even after mailing their Student Cell and follow ups they may have decided not to come up here in ths open forum .... God knows what's the logic .... Now the CAP rounds will start and there's no sign ... It actually surprises me !!!

Same here even i tried my best..... i even personally meet students from chetana on my interview day, there were very helpful there but don't know y they didn't turned up on this open forum even after requesting n inviting them....

yes bro i have already taken the admission ...so its upto me now ..to go or not to go ...i will definately take a wise decision coz in both ways there wnt be ny loss of mine ...if i tk this year then il save an year of studyin/GIVING CET AGAIN ...n if i apply next year then il have sum experience wid me which will surely help me alot later while doin an mba :)...so both ways i m in a good position ..thnx alot bro for helping me so much ...will let u knw abt my final decidion :):)

Yes u r right having an experience of previous entrance exam really helps and makes a huge benefit but there r something to be kept in mind
1. Experience acts as benefit only if u work equally dedicated or slightly more dedicated as compared to previous yr.
2. Experience acts as benefit only if u r going to appear CET; trust me experience doesn't make huge difference in case of CAT, i m saying this bcoz in CAT u have to work extremely hard again as there r many taker in CAT who have previously appeared for experience but in CET percentage of such people is too less and in CET rigorous preparation is not needed if u r have experienced CET before....

All this is by my personal experience and personal opinion...
another opinion if u believe in urself and can spend one more yr preparing for CET, i will advise go for it n fetch better colg but in this 1yr work on ur profile too like working for some NGO, doing some part time job like taking classes or something else, read different blogs, books and start writing ur own bolg.....many things...

Anyway take good decision... best luck..

Hey...Congrats for SIES PGDM and WE Retail mgmnt.....

there is nothing as some course being worth over the other...it depends on your interest..now WE Retail is a course which is meant for retail management only...its a niche course...so in case you want to get into retail,you may join it...

However SIES PG is a general PGDM...wherein you have the liberty to chose your specialization later on...it covers different aspects of business(finance,mktng,HR..etc..)...

So you have to choose depending on what you like...:p

P.S: my personal opinion,any general PGDM is always better than a specialized course i.e.unless you really want that specialization...if you haven't decided about your specialization and sector,the general PGDM should be a better bet..because you get the time and the flexibility to choose..:p..

P.P.S..In any case you later want to get into retail,you may get into it even if you do a general MBA...:p...bt do join WE retail in case you are sure about retail now itself...:p

P.P.P.S....If you would ask placements,i actually have less idea...bt i believe WE retail may have slightly lower packages than the general WE PGDM...coz PGDM is the flagship course of WE...:p..do verify though..:P

But the infra inside the college is good, the staff is awesome, co-operative.
GD was good and PI was awesome.. :

First tell about ur profile i.e. ur background, work exp, against which score have you applied?
What was the topic for GD? How was crowd over there? Did you spoke to seniors? Did college gave a presentation regarding their own awards, achievements, and placement?
Who were the panelist for PI? What kind of questions did they asked? Did they screwed?
How much time the overall process took? When are they going to display their list?
