I can see your apprehension about the rankings of XIMB. All that I would like to say is if you really want to judge an institute, talk to the students and the alumni. They will give you the correct picture about the institute and no ranking can substitute that.

With the GD-PIs for admission into XIMB having begun in all the centers across India, I request you to post your GD-PI experiences here on this forum in the format specified in the first post. This will not only help you evaluate your own performance but will also help smoothen out the last minute jitters that the other aspirants might be having. do the panel have the essay which we wrote while giving XAT at the time of the gd/pi process ??? i mean i thought only xlri uses that ...

Hi,

Yes, the panelists did have our essays with them while they were taking the interview. I was personally not asked anything on it. But a few people who went in before me were questioned on their essays.
Dont worry too much about it. Unless you have written something totally obnoxious or do not have much to speak about in your interview, there is a slight chance that your essay will come up.

Hi,

Around 2000 calls have been given together for BM, RM and HRM. The individual breakups are not disclosed.

No, I didnt receive. But I have sent them the POD from blue dart and in that it is clearly mentioned that shipment of my Blue dart tracking id has been received by XIMB office on 28/11/2011 with XIMB Admissions' office stamp and a concerned person's signature on it.
Even after providing all this, Admissions office people are saying there's no proof that my shipment has reached at their end. Moreover, they also said that POD doesn't confirm when it was delivered and who received the same.
The details regarding the concerned person who receives all the shipments from courier should be with them.
Today I also confirmed from BANK of INDIA, from where I had purchased the DD, they said that DD has been encashed on 24/12/2011. In next 2 working days, I will be getting the proof for the same from BANK of India.
