I feel ashamed to be a part of a community which supports a person who has been doing all sort of things which cannot be called decent.
The guy who has been pinging people in order to get email ids , phone numbers of girls. Such was the desperation of the the guy that i had to block him on Gtalk and then put an auto reject for his phonenumber on my phone.

And the story doesnt end here. He used this platform to make friends with the gals and then suffocated them by calling and pinging them to such an extent that they had to stop using the gtalk and ignore his calls.

And its not a single case, i know atleast three such cases. Over years there has been some kind of trust developed amongst puys . Because of it we do share personal details with each other. And we do have crushes, we do have other things. And its a truth that it has happened.

I dont have any problems with the guy doing all this stuff. But the thing is that in more than one case he did told a gal(from PG) that i was his very good friend and i got a call from that gal asking me to talk to him , as the things were going way to much.

His problems might have been genuine this time. He might have been a victim of the same. But Most of the time other people have been on this side.

Dont feel like coming back here. I cant co-exist here with such a guy openly writing these posts and members of PG family openly supporting him.

Most of the talk between us happened on gtalk.If you want to make assumptions atleast you need to know the whole story...rest is your perception I won't comment on that.
I wasn't going to write this post as I don't believe in mud slinging.But I was wisely suggested to post the whole thing so that everyone knows the whole thing.I feel it's in bad taste to post replies/counter them ...I don't know about others but I can't /won't do it.

Either come up with extract of the PM or stop this blab.

We will appreciate if you can come with more clear facts than just using this thread to vent out your frustration and anger at someone.

And let me again remind you my self proclaimed old friend that whatever you do on Gtalk/Orkut /Other Non-PG platforms should not be involved here.

Thats true. But a software professional makes it to 35-40K within 4 years. Thats almost unimaginable in a PSU bank (until ur working on a contract basis).

Boss , if you add up all the incentives .. an officer has a CTC of atleast 27-28 k per month even at a start. Plus the DA part of the salary gets revised every six months. Plus there are always the option of Internal prmotions after the couple of years. If one is performing well, and has the obtained the right knowledge then there is no stopping no matter where the person is working..

The youth today wants to move up in life. People want to develop career skills, the amount of working hours is not something that is looked at by people who want to move up. Plus, the salaries make up for it. And it is required for almost every professional to understand how to sell, otherwise one can never rise high in the corporate world..

The youth also needs a job.
We have got many puys on this thread who dont have a permanent job. And yeah they are from all streams, engineers.. commerce, arts. At this point of time the objective should be to get a decent job, and Bank PO job solves that purpose for all of them.

And let us not stretch this discussion

Hey, i would suggest you to look for a job right now. It appears you have been trying really hard for the last couple of years and things are not going your way. So, just take a safer option by opting for a job and then trying again next year with some workex behind your name.
Remember its not just about clearing the written. So this work ex will add weight to your resume when you appear for a PI in a B-school


Also , i dont think taking an admission into Any XYZ should be considered right now as this option will always remain open. So lets just keep this option as a last resort..

In a way, the present times are really not the best for the Nationalized Banking Sector.

I beg to differ sire. Its really unkind on your part to refer to a remuneration earned by lacs of PSU bankers as a charity.
After the recent salary hike, a PSU employee in an officer grade would be earning around 22-23 k per month and some additional benefits like LTC once in a couple of years among others..

I think thats comparable to what most of the software companies offer to fresh graduates. And anyone working in banking industry will tell you the difference between working in a private bank and working in a public bank.
The word 'sales' haunts people in a private bank. Even if you are working in Branch operations in a private bank , you are expected to do sales (counter). Plus, if you compare the total weekly working hours, an employee of a private sector will be working 20% more atleast.

Add to it the fact that you can be posted almost anywhere in the country (although some banks are giving home postings initially nowadays but thats just for a few months) and sooner or later would be away from home in II/III tier cities that you would hate.

Most of the Banking Aspirants come from these tierII/III cities sire. Not all are fortunate enough to be born in a superior and lovable destination as yours.

And this has led to most of the people in the banks being a Very very dissatisfied lot. And that is why when they see engineers applying for Bank PO posts, they tend to suggest them to not join the sector because it really is not its worth at the moment and engineers have a choice unlike some others who don't really have many options.

being a banker, i storngly support ur views as bankers r d least paid 2day nd rural postings n rude customers r frstrtng but there r some benefits also being a banker.
But by n large we shud luk for some other sectors also other than banking

The least paid Please dont exaggerate , for many PO aspirants will not get the true picture. I understand the concept of Rural Posting, but nowadays banks are conciously giving postings to the new joinees in non-rural areas.
