A very very useful thread for IIM aspirants since it gives them an idea of wat score and profile is expected to get into IIMs..Really a Myth Breaking thread which gives u hope and confidence....My two cents..u dont require a God like profile to make it to an IIM..It all boils down to your
determination,commitment ,attitude and Self belief(Mooooooost Imp):grab:

CAT Score:-

CAT 2005 : 97.96%(74% in DI-No calls)

CAT 2006 : 98.99%:

QA - 95.27 ( Missed A call due to this)

DI - 96.03
VA - 98.98(My Strong Area...Actually had a 1480 in GRE which took care of my Verbal prep)

My 2 cents:-So all CAT aspirants who are in their pre-final year or ppl who have time do give a shot at GRE--will really help ur verbal part.Its not mandatory...there are ppl who do well in verbal without having prepared for GRE...but i feel it makes life simple...Another thing which supports my point of view if u observe CAT is steadily moving towards GMAT n GRE kinda short and Complicated RCs(Stressing Comprehension) from Long and simple RCs(which stress on Reading speed)

Calls - C(PGDM n PGDCM),I
Converts - C(PGDCM),Waitlisted at I

Will b heading to JOKA this summer!!!Finally a Dream Come true...Somehow I always wanted to get into C(never thot of A n B)....and Im in!!!!

C - Awesome GD. Awesome PI---Result:Converted!(I knew I would make it the moment I came out of my intv)

Summary:-You can make up for a Relatively lower CAT percentile with your extracurrics and by performing well in GD n PI!!


A little long post i know in a thread where ppl just post profiles..but i want to give something back to this thread which kept me going thru the tough times during my prep!!...I used to go thru this thread whenever i was feeling low to get some self belief,some confidence that if so many ppl who are just like me,who dint have god like profiles have done it,y can't I!!!

Hii I'll b Joining PGDCM..and i need a clarification..R u sure abt the 10 months lateral placement cutoff???...Becoz I remember reading ur post in some other thread that its 11 months..The reason I am asking--I will be completing 10 months by this may 24th and I dont think I can work till 24th june to complete 11 months...
Btw I have already put in my papers one month back:wow::wow::wow::wow: and june 2nd wud b my relieving date ...is it ok or shd i try n extend that??

The Centre is likely to request the Supreme Court on Wednesday to fix an early date for hearing the quota issue.

The central government, which was supposed to take up the issue of early hearing before the Chief Justice of India, did not raise it on Tuesday.

Legal officers handling the case have told NDTV that the two judge bench, which stayed the 27 per cent quota for OBCs, is likely to sit tomorrow.

Accordingly, the Centre has changed its plan and is likely to approach that Bench for an early hearing to lift the stay on OBC quota.
