Call admission office. Tell them your case. Tell them that you were not unaware about this particular case. You thought you would be considered for both. Lets see if they oblige. Only admission office can help you . ATB !!

Well have already done that. They are saying that you people think that you are smart :). I dont know why this angst.

They said "Did you call us". I said i did but that day noone picked the call then i went to PG and got the answer there and i didnt call back again. I took the senior's words, and that was my mistake i guess, i should not have done that, Praveen said that confirm from the office also but i didnt. My mistake. But thats over. Now what.

Admission people think that money grows on trees. They dont understand that it is tough to take out 75000(which they think is a very small amount) in such a quick time despite the fact that i had already paid the PGDHRM fee. And my lot of money was stuck in some other college whose refund i still had not received. But anyway this is off context.

Whatever happens, happens for good :).

And congrats to you man "Ishaqzaada", i think you badly needed the seat and you got it.

So praveen can't be blamed here.:nono: I had called admission office and had confirmed the same. I had the similar case as yours . They told me to be considered for PGDM, u need to maintain retention fee of Rs 75,000.

Sorry mate but I didnt blame Praveen. The fault is all mine and i was just asking for some help if somebody can, otherwise it is ok.

Well i was waitlisted in PGDM at 140+. But since i didnt pay the extra amount of 75000 i got a mail from the admissions that i was not being considered for the waitlist movement.
I was waitlisted in both PGDM and PGDMHR, but once i cleared PGDHRM i paid the full fee and according to one of Praveen's posts(Post No. 636 Page 64) "Yes , u would be eligible for PGDM WL movement but call the admissions office once to know the procedure for the same.
You have to pay the fees for HR within that date.If u convert PGDM later, the fees would be transfered to PGDM.

i decided not to pay the extra 75000 since i had already paid the fee for PGDHRM. Now my PGDM chance is gone.
So not sure what to do.

I was w/l 122. Just now got a mail from admission office that my updated wait list no. is 14.

They are just playing with numbers. May be when Praveen said that WL till 113 has cleared, he got that number wrong. And people in the admissions cell say that dont rely on anyone, rely on the information given by us.

But all they give is some sick information or no information at all.

They have got a beautiful website where we had our accounts made. All they had to do was update WL numbers there so that everyone could log in and check their respective status.

Now as things stand we have to mail/call for this small information and that also what they give is ambiguous.

Just got a mail from IMI that my current waitlist number is 19 for PGDM. Earlier it was 141. How good are chances now to convert?

I havent got no mail from IMI mentioning my new waitlist number. My initial WL number in PGDM was 154.

Guys, till what number has WL moved in PGDM? Any info would help.

Cancelling my admission from PGD HRM (had converted on May 7th after original WL of 92)...

Did not have a call for PGDM (due to 12th < 65)...

After a long long tussle opting for XIMB :)

I called them up yesterday. Got the same curt reply.
"Any update on the waitlist movement?"- "No"
"Any chance of further movement in the waitlist?"- "Don't know"

Thats why have stopped calling them, it only adds to the confusion:).

Seniors!!!!Please help us....There have been withdrawals recently but the admissions office is reluctant to comment on the W/l...If we dont apply for withdrawals from other colleges then large amounts would be deducted...(because other colleges are starting in 1st week of june and some have put in their last date as 25th May or so....)My W/l no is 82 and am in a real fix.
Please come to rescue us.....

There is very little difference now between IMI and other top colleges. These small small things like having a smooth admission process will keep IMI in good stead for its race to go into top 15.
XIMB for example is doing a great job. They have a really good admission process.You send one draft or transfer money electronically the acknowledgement reply is really prompt.
In case of IMI it takes an eternity.
XIMB is updating WL numbers as soon as there is some movement so that people know where they stand.
IMI lacks in these things.

I know people say that there is no point writing these things here as the admission guys of the college dont read pagalguy but i thought this is the only platform where we can put our views.

I just want IMI to be at par with the best in INDIA.
