2 years work ex.... Already a PG in profile with certifications n all (Decent profile)

If I study my head off for GDPI n manage to get a GOOD score... WHAT ARE MY CHANCES??

Last to last year..I was not on any wait list...but got a call in June end (15 days after the session started)....to join in a week (couldn't)

Any chance of anything similar happening this year??

Hi i do understand your concern but the interviewers have rich experience in screening candidates for all courses in a single PI. So no worries on that front. You do not have to re appear for FS GD/PI again.



U gotta wait for the GDPI dates for sometime. Till then invest time in preparing for GD/PI. ATB :biggrin:

PLEASE... Can someone tell when can we expect the FS results?? Since the last date is 30th April now.....some people will have their GD PIs too.....So when will the result come??

Also, I hgot 8 in XAT and 92 in CMAT..... I should apply through CMAT ...right???
I have 22 months workex in finance...have a few certifications in finance, a 1 yr PG Diploma in Financial Planning...and decent acads.... I HOPE I COVERT....

Well....You cannot really predict what the selected list and wait list is gonna throw at you..

In 2010...I got through the wait list....at 81%...but could join due to some reasons..

This year....I have 18 months of work ex...I have completed many certifications in finance, along with a PGD in Finance (1 year)....and 81% again....
And.......not even the wait list call.....!! WOW... :/

Don't know why my stars don't match with K.J's.... Converted as a fresher....in 2010....(waitlist)....dont know why didnt join...

Yes, the printed app form + work -ex certis if applicable + score card of cmat/cet





1. Draft a letter to the institute asking them to consider your CET score instead of xat.. mention all your form details, etc.. Send it along with a copy of your cet scorecard to the institute..

2. FS is not exclusively about capital markets.. just that the focus is entirely on finance subjects unlike PGDM, where students study a broad mix of subjects in the first year and move to specialization only in the second year. The placements will happen mostly exclusively with financial services cos unlike pgdm because of their relatively broader coverage of subjects, would also sit for placements in other sectors like IT.. Since the focus is higher, FS students gain deeper knowledge in finance subjects and can stand an advantage with core finance related jobs..
Summer placements were good for our FS batch as companies were interested in picking up students who specialized in finance right from the beginning..
