myself a iima grad 2006. (yeah just graduated, and already feeling sad)

as far as i would say, dont ever think of anything else, dont compare salaries or any bull crap.
the 2 years at iima itself is a great experience, so please dont think of taking other options unless u dont wanna do management at all.

Anyways enjoy ur self now
sit back and hold tight its gonna be one helluve roller coaster ride. Enjoy all of it

first of all, congrats to all those who made it to the BIG B Schools. i am 2005 passout of b.tech. i just wanna know one thing. is it ok if i dont take up any job the year following my b.tech and give cat??? or should i take up a job??? tel me if 'not working' after b.tech and just 'preparing for cat' wil be a disqualification in GD /PI????
are there any guys who have cleared without taking up a job??? oh god, lotza questions, right! c, in short, is 'not working' a disqualification for getting the final admission???? plz post yer replies guys.. thanks... waiting. ciao...

I went through the details of new programme PGPX launched by IIMA. In that, the age criteria is mentioned as 27 years.

If a person who will be around 26 years 3 months on 31 March 2006, applies to this programme, will he be considered?

yeah that is one factor i'm thinking - how much time will i be able to give her.In that case maybe i can try and leave my kid home with hubby dear and parents. PGP2 i guess is slightly easy on time. Then i can ask for family acco.......
okay tell me something, i belong to gurgaon(delhi). it's 18 hrs. journey by train. once in a while i could also take a flight. how frequently do u think i can manage to come home and see her- considering the 100% attendance scenario and loads of submiisions and presentations. seniors could anyone give a practical picture on this?? i really need to make a decision on this soon 'coz there are a lot of arrangements i need to make.

Anyways who is responsible for allocation of these flats. can i email somebody to apply or ask if they can make a special concession.

it would be better to access the emails from the site
or register for daily digest

as there would be 100 odd mails per day

The rules say that family accomodation will be given only to FPM students. For other ppl, the family has to stay outside. A classmate of mine who is married has his family outside and he keeps visiting them. He has a kid also who is I think in 2nd or 3rd class. So you can contact him regarding this ..he will be able to help you out better.

u might not get family accomodation in PGP1
but one guy had got family acco in PGP2 (our senior)
after staying in the guys dorms for PGP1
but u can apply neverthe less might get lucky
FPMs get family acco from yr1 if they apply for it
anyways be prepared to rent a flat outside

and your kid would miss ur attention
cos u would be submerged in work

but no idea bout when will whole campus be wifi enabled

LAN works very very well
all methods of file transfer depend on tht
its like having a folder on ur comp

those with workex would be familiar with such systems in office

pretty convinient

WIFI is good
especially u want to show off by lazing in the lawn while browsing the net or doing some other stuff

otherwise the gud ole desktop PC and LAN is fine

Hi all,

Letter reached me in Bombay today. The circle is expanding.

A's method of referencing their letters is odd. During the interview stage I was confused about which reference number to fill in the form. Now I face a similar dilemma.

On Annexure 3 (the acceptance form), the text is, "...With reference to your letter no.______..." What are we supposed to fill in here :

1) The Ref. no. PGP/2005-2007/XX
or
2) (Number printed above ref. in gold) 00XXX.

Please help.

it is complete PGP/2005-2007/XX
and for any problems call the PGP office
should be sorted out
