GD Experience :
GD Topic- GD was an HR case study:
case : a person is recruited by an elex. company at high salary. He works hard and enthusiastically but slowly gets loaded with more and more work. So, after an year

when it gets unbearable to manage social and personal life, he quits. GM tries but fails to stop him. GM then appoints a committee to look into the issue. But then suddenly GM dissolves it. Three questions were to be discussed: 1. What made GM dissolve the committee before it started working itself.
2. What are the flaws in recruiting policy of HR.
3. What made the guy quit?
we were STRICTLY told to not make a fish market and discuss decently.
Time duration- 5 mins to think and 15 to discuss.

PI Experience-
No. Of panel members- They were three members: Prof. Arti D. Kalro(P1), Prof. T T Niranjan(P2) and P3(male prof, I can't recognize, he kept silent during my interview). It lasted for around 15 minutes.P1: What are three words that describe you?
Me: answered. Took sometime to think in between.
P2: ok, so what made you switch from a big petroleum PSU to CAT training institute?
Me: gave my reasons, they looked partly satisfied.
P2: which area would you like to specialize into?
Me: preferebaly general. But if had to choose only one option it would be ops due to my background.
P2: What did you do in your six sigma project.
Me: explained.
P1: What are the 5 things you will do if you were prime minister of the world, say, whole earth? Give bullet points.
Me: 1. take actions to spread education. 2. Create more employment opportunites. (he asked how will you do so? where will you get money from? I said, I will create an environment to promote more industries.) 3. Create harmony across nations and cultures (again he asked how, I said, I will help bringing religious and political leaders together). 4. stop money from being wasted on wars. 5. Emphasize on reasearch and growth of science for human benefit.

Interview experience-

Misc Details-

total duration of whole process - around 4 hrs.

Surprises(if any) add Overall Experience- Arrangement was good. No surprises as such. Just that the criteria of final selection is still undisclosed.

P.S. -
Positives: Good GD, satisfactory PI, NIT Trichy b/g, decent extra-curriculars, One yr ops work-ex (bpcl), six sigma certification (green belt)
Negatives: Very Low acads, coaching work-ex (2 yrs)

I called the admissions office today and even 3 days back. both times
I mentioned that i'm waitlisted at 750+, so wen will the list be out??
the guy said it'll be out next week. Then i asked any hints and what hopes should i keep? He said "abhi toh sab full hai" and we are waiting fr withdrawals..
So even if you be too optimistic I don't think there will b many withdrawals to reach beyond 750.
I feel this A-lot-more-than-normal delay can only happen in such a situation. so that is it. I don't mean to bring someone's hopes down but frankly speaking at ranks beyond 750 this time its hardly a possibility.
The reason that admission chairman etc. etc. is on leave is ofcourse not an excuse for a delay of 20 days... And well, they can't officially tell you on phone either that they too have goofed up this time by giving more than 200 buffer calls and have made their share in messing up in this year's process like every other college! :p
Just my personal speculation at the end of the day. So, no offences!

I guess bcoz ur pi and gd were good, u got 715 rank, cause at 98.63 i got 731..
there is a good chance that u will convert any one f d program..and so do i hope for myself :)

so did I, 763 @ 98.63%ile.
